Microsoft lost money from the xbox because of the included harddrive , atleast there fixing that mistake this gen though with the 360 because you have to buy the HD seperatley if you want it. Even though nitendo hasnt had huge numbers in america they still have managed to make very nice profit. The only reason why nintendo's gamecube was weak was lack of 3rd party support. The GC was a powerful system but it didnt have a DvD player which was a mistake but there fixing that with Rev. They just need to make sure they have alot of crazy unqiue titles for rev and good 3rd party support and it will like hotcakes. Not to mention there prices are always very cheap too.

First, I don't believe it. It's a little too far fetched. But what errors do you see? And it wouldn't be on Nintendo.com because the nature of a leaked video is that it is unofficial. Also someone spent a good deal of time faking a video, maybe Nintendo themselves did it to make some hype. Even fake hype is good.
Finally does anyone remember Virtual Boy? I liked it personally but most people didn't. I'm not sure Nintendo would want to try it again especially after failing with GameCube. Though they do need to do something radical this round if they want to remain in the console game.

As for bumbing into things that's not that hard to fix either, just throw in a sensor in the head set that if it senses anything within two feet warn the user with a noise, not unlike some SUV's have. I mean for christ sakes, sony has a patent (which you can go and look at btw) for a non-envasive way to transmit pictures, and sounds directly into the brain. You'd be amazed at what our current technology can do. Now does this make the video real? Of course not, we can do alot of things, but the question is would it be economiclly feasiable. At this point in time no, so while I think Nintendo COULD build something similer to this, the price would be so outrageous it's not worth doing.

Based on what I know, the only thing that doesn't comply with nintendo's statements is the size. The size of the console in the video is larger than what has been stated as many have pointed out. If Revolution will let us make games, that would be too cool.
Whether or not this was real, Nintendo has an edge in that:
1. It is trying to innovated hence the name Revolution 2. Sony and Microsoft are disregarding Nintendo as a contendo in the next gen race, which is a huge mistake 3. Nintendo is focusing on gaming and improving that aspect whereas Sony and Microsoft are focusing on turning consoles into the home network/entertainment systems.
Note: this is all coming from a sony fan.
Also, I believe Microsoft is making a mistake in releasing 2005. The X-Box has been selling better than it has been ever and all they're doing is artificially cutting the lifespan of the X-Box short. Heck, now is the time for developers to really jump into developing games for that system as its more and more popular everyday. Why do you think developers are much more inclined to develop X-Box games now than during the first few years the X-Box was out? Because its actually selling on par with the PS2. That, or we'll have another dreamcast! You know, that previous "next gen" console that released way ahead of the PS2 but didn't last because PS and N64 were still selling very well. I could also be very wrong and this could be the best decision to make and X-Box 360 will be the next reigning console.
Like I said, Nintendo is the underdog but they also have the most to gain and have learned the most from the previous "race". X-Box 360 and PS3 will just be technological upgrades(better graphics, better performance, etc...) but will bring nothing new to the table.
Even in bizarro world, where it could be true, it would go down in my book as the first game system I would be embarrassed to play. C'mon...putting on a friggin' helmet?
