Every one when the one word names are unique and eventually run out.
And eventually people use two word names or abbreviations or misspellings or ascii etc. There are games that force you to use your account name, so your character name can be anything you want as its linked to account such as Character@bobcatt55 , but then when you want to message them you cant use Character name you have to use @account name. So does that make things better? No, it doesnt. It just shifts the problem, as then I cant say "just message Character" , I have to say "uhm, message @bobcatt55 whos actually Character".

If people are still managing to get their creative juices flowing making one word names in World of Warcraft, i dont think Wildstar is going to have a big issue.
So much for "progressive" ideas all the while chaining them to an outdated naming convention that looks like they don't know how to program to handle spaces in names - so very y2k.

MMORPG.com is anti-space bar too.

As long as MikeHoncho isn't taken, I'll be fine.
I do if I can.
(I am a mmoRPG player, not some random console gamer named XxcarpetraiderxX.)
From what I saw in ESO Beta, a lot of people including me.
Further proof this game is a WoW clone.
you'd think after all this time developers would want to give players options.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!
Roleplayers the same ones who the genre was created for and where the rpg in mmorpg comes from.
Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!

On a side note: It is pretty common for MMO's to use this method.

1 step forward 2 steps back.
Playing: varies every day it seems.
