Help with Browser MMORPG Feature... ideas pls

I need help... to be more precise, my team needs help.

 

We are in the process of making our own browser MMORPG game... and we wish to make it fun... (Still in the planning/development stage)

 

What we need help is one idea of mine that I want to integrate into the game.

 

It is a simple idea and  process.

 

It involves "Issues" wherein the player is requested to make decisions that will attempt to solve the situation. Obviously this idea is not entirely new, but I wish to implement it.

 

Format of the Issue:

1. Title of the Issue

2. Name of Person or Group requesting assistance

3. Content of the Issue

4. 3 Options available

   - Default Choice = This is the choice that is normally done because it requires the least bit of effort

   - Gold Choice = This choice involves using gold to assist in the situation

   - Influence/Gold Choice = This choice involves persuading someone of high rank to assist which will sometimes require monetary payment

5. List the results and possible prizes for each choice

I have a problem... I have a case involving, two female relatives who are living together because they ran away from their abusive husbands. Both of them recently gave birth to sons. Last night, they fell asleep with their babies and one of them accidentally killed a baby. Now both of them are claiming the living baby as their own. I don't know what to do... What do you suggest we do?

 

a. I will leave the decision up to you.

      - The Judge seeing no other choice, put up the child under the care of the city and gave it to another family.

 

b. Let us hire investigators to find out the truth. (500 gold)

      - The investigators has found sufficient proof that the mother is this ???.

 

c. Let us slice the baby in half so that both mothers can lay claim to the child. In this way, the love of a mother can be shown to all. (500 Influence)

      - When the judge rendered this decision, the onlookers were shocked at the brutal decision. The true mother fearing for the life of her son pleaded for the life of the baby, while the mother who lost her child, driven mad by grief, was ecstatic over the decision. Seeing this, the judge gave the child to it's real mother.
