There's a post on the official weekend beta forums from the Community Manager confirming another beta weekend coming up and it will be using the up to date client, I'm at work and don't want to search for it, but you are more than welcome to goto the official boards and look it up.
The forums are closed to weekenders now... so get busy, eh?
Here's the best I can do for you right this moment.

Everyone in this thread - No, Shut up back there until we get to to early access!!!
Me - AW, I want to ride the Imperial Pony!!!
I'm in complete agreement with the OP and I bet he feels the same way as me!
I figured they were going to have another beta weekend before launch... the intermittent lag alone warranted a weekend test to vet a fix prior to launch.
Man this withdrawal is rough, i don't think a game has hooked me this bad in a long time.
After playing the beta last weekend which is all i have to go on, there is a hell of a lot of work that needs to be done before this game should be released. they have so many interaction bugs its not funny. whether its quest or items, you shouldnt have to log out and log back in to get it to work. i would have thought that 1 month out from release, that they would have sorted that out. But i seem to be wrong.
No MMO has ever released complete and bug free, but ESO could release tomorrow and still be in better shape than most launches.
Agreed ^
Based on what do you say that? You think the people in the stress test equal the number of people that will be in at launch? You were playing an old build, so we don't even know what problems might be in the new one.
All the old bugs were fixed... Because they didn't reappear for the 5% of the population that will be in at launch?
And they really need to do something about phasing. It might not effect solo players, but large numbers of solo types aren't going to stick around and paid 15 a month either.
Give them as much time as they can get, because they won't get a second chance to retain their player base.

With WoW you would get attacked by a mob and sometimes you could do 0 damage to them, you had to run away to fix it, and then there was LOTRO, which had huge lag spikes of where you were constantly missing chunks of 10-20s of the fight sometimes, then there was Age of Conan where you couldn't even progress past alchemy 1 because one of the items needed to obtain tier 2 was not even in game, and bosses you could literally kick through the wall every single time after an hour long dungeon and since everyone had a knockback, the boss every single time, went bye bye through the wall, NO LOOT at all!
List goes on but it would take too many lines. ESO, you can atleast get to 50 and no crafting is broken, 99% of all quests are good, mining and killing mobs are good, what more could you really ask for on a launch?
GOOD LORD I ALMOST FORGOT... FFXIV ITS OVER 90000! FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT!

This has been said again and again, but what we are playing isn't the actual current beta build. It's an old broken build that they haven't bothered to fix because: why the hell should they? These weekend invites for stress tests are just to test the servers under the load of thousands of players.
The most current version of the game is a separate closed beta where people have 24/7 access and can play to 50+ content.
Also, I'm not sure if people are aware, but some quests in the weekend version just end abruptly on purpose. This is because they don't want you going any further, not because it's bugged.
Please give me a link or something confirming your claims here, PLEASE. I'm not trying to start trouble, I want this game bad, but my experience with this past beta that ended yesterday was horrible. The thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that all the bugs I reported in February were still present this past weekend. So this would explain 100% why nothing was fixed, I was so worried with early access less than a month away and it had such glaring problems. So what you're saying would explain everything, but I want an actual official post from Zenimax and not fan speculation. Even though I love the game, the amount of problems I encountered this weekend made me consider cancelling my retail Imperial Edition pre-order, that's how bad it was, so I need my confidence in the game bolstered back to normal.
I have no link for you, but I am in the closed beta along with many others here. The version you played this weekend was .171 and the closed beta is on .18 and soon (if not already) .181. There have been a ton of fixes compared to this weekends test, but they also introducted a few more bugs they have to iron out hence why they didn't make this weekend that newest update.

Thanks for all the info, appreciate it. That's definitely good news and makes perfect sense why Dragon Leap was still broken for example. But, while that explains the bugs I'm still concerned about all the latency issues, I know they were doing one hell of a stress test but still, at launch there will be even more players than this past weekend and the game was unplayable to me all day and night Friday and most of Saturday. Every single thing else on my computer that requires an internet connection were all lag free, so it wasn't on my end. It worried me a lot, but I'm still optimistic because the weekend in the beginning of February I had zero latency issues.
Like SWTOR, this game needs some extra polishing time. An extra 6 months to a year is not unreasonable?
Devs need to work out or just eliminate phasing, then populate empty areas, and make combat look believable. Questing is themepark, so no complaints there with a themepark game. The skill-wheel is lame, fix that too. The wheel is super lame.
I'd say give ESO an extra year of development to make it fun to play.
So essentially don't release it early .. rather release it sometime in the future, next year it might be done? say, Spring 2015?
Zenimax is in a good position to delay release. Other games missed the release, but Zenimax can score .... if they understand that customers don't want to buy an unfinished game, with problems. /peace

No it's not unreasonable unless for the people who hop from MMO to MMO. You can tell by how some of them really need this game to fill that MMO void. If Zenimax were to release the game today I hope they would quickly code a "/reloadui" ability to put on the hotbar so they wont lose players too soon for having to retype that command as often as it's needed.

I enjoyed the game, despite the UI sillyness. However, I would prefer they wait and listen to their player base.

What it needs is a total redesign of the PvE so that there isn't any phasing or instancing screwing with the multiplayer aspects. People want to experience THE WORLD, not be locked into tons of instances, away from their friends.
^ this, they're actually fixing the features people dislike about the game. So fuck early release.
Some people.

Based on how incredibly bad a lot of launches have been. It's a comparative statement, most MMO launches have been rougher than the last several beta sessions of ESO, in every observable way.
And they had better hope large numbers of people who like to solo stick around, since casuals make up the majority of the market.

I've been playing and testing MMOs for over 15 years. In my honest opinion, the game really needs another six months to just make the best of what they have got. If I was in charge over there and budget allowed, I'd push the release to 2015 and completely overhaul the combat system. I'd also find a way to open up the world with better level scaling and find a way to introduce more spontaneous world content.
With a six month delay, I'd also build a benevolent and logical cash shop and retool the business model as either Buy to Play, or a hybrid model of B2P, along with an optional subscription that would offer certain perks and benefits, including access to some cash shop items each month for being a subscriber.
None of this will happen. The game will launch with some serious flaws related to the combat system and content delivery/ game play, which, combined with a subscription model, will greatly limit the game's potential.
The game has a lot going for it, but it joins a very long list of MMOs that failed to recognize and address some serious flaws as a condition of setting a launch date. The story is getting very, very old, but this isn't a genre with a great track record when it comes to learning from previous mistakes.

Some of the things you characterize as flaws, they would classify as design decisions, and as a result they likely wouldn't change no matter how much time the game had in development.

That said. Obviously, the build we played in this beta was old, but still, the game has a lot of bugs and polish that they need to look into. It definitely doesn't need an early release. If anything, a delayed release might do the game some good. I mean, who releases an Elder Scrolls game without the thieves guild and assassin's guild already implemented. The combat system also needs some polishing.

Zero chance of it happening though. Marketing would have a fit if the date was changed, and even if they let it go, the Legal Dept. would veto it.
This is a fanboy thread because we all know it won't happen and by ignoring that we're all basically just showing how much we love the game
