Tutorial Levels

The first three levels of the game take place in a tutorial area. The game introduces you to basic things like F clicking on world objects, pressing buttons, talking to NPCs, killing a few things etc. This isnt "the game". This is "here is how you play our game".

The next four levels in the first zone on the planet are also tutorial levels. These give you a linear zone with minimal freedom to learn more things, such as in field communication with NPCs, introduction to challenges, interacting with merchants etc.

At level 7 the game begins. This is where you come to the first big zone and are free to explore, do quests in any order you like etc. You will however keep learning on how to play as this is where the game introduces you to things like crafting, group quests, mounts etc.

We've already played the tutorial though.  It was called WoW.

The tasks in the tutorial zones (i.e. Arkship) aren't that much different to the ones in the rest of the game. You don't need to euphemize that fact. It's a lot of killing and f-clicking on items. While I think the design of the Arkship levels is quite boring the zones after it are kinda good. Galeras, Algoroc etc. are fine in their design and size. The quests are not. And the worst of it all: even when failing in pushing the f-button at the right moment (or don't remembering the right color-order of the mini games) you succeed anyways. The only punishment is a meaningless knockback for 2-3 seconds. Wow.. insert the "so hardcore"-Meme in here.
