Yeah it does have that stench of desperation about it, the funny part is most of those types would most likely use the age old "don't expect any changes in beta" line given the chance. It's kinda funny to see them reach so far though, as if this is something to damn a company for.

Show me one post where i have ever said i have no intention of playing. Ill wait.

All i have ever said is i am on the fence and waiting to see some evidence that ESO is not just another lacklustre themepark not worth the sub. So far i havent seen anything to convince me. Performance issues and broken phasing along with so many features that all other mmorpgs have at launch might be enough to get you blind fanboys proclaiming the game amazing but i have enough life experience and mmorpg experience to see through the marketing hype, fanboy white knighting, professional apologists and stilted devs speak and just be honest about the state of the game 6 weeks before launch.

Im sorry such honesty makes you fanboys so uncomfortable but im just a realist...

Anyway...please continue the mindless hyperbole and denial...you guys have already proclaimed ZOS as the best mmorpg devs ever lol....before they even release an mmorpg much less a successful one so anyone interested in hearing the truth about the game is wasting their time here...

    Brilliant.

Name one MMO with an FOV slider?

Oh my god guys SWG had a fully functioning FOV slider 10 years ago!!

This is NOTHING new...it's about as basic as it gets.

And as for the broken phasing...all that update from the devs says is they still can't fix it....

    Ok "one game".

Basic usually means that it's something that every or most things within a category actually have. Not that one thing has and because it had it "years ago" it's "basic".

He's probably talking about 3rd person FOV lol.

I'd have loved a "crosshair height/aim position" slider before a FoV slider, so that the crosshair isn't constantly pointing at the ground in front of my feet when I play (yes, I tend to keep the camera quite high).

Unless there is one already? But I don't think so.

These are all good upcoming changes. Really impressed by the response lately even if it feels like certain things should have been addressed earlier. Well done :-)

I think their biggest mistake was the nature of their beta tests.  Even considering their stress tests have gone better than FFXIV's, they're still making the same fundamental mistake SE made. Extremely limited access to the masses before release. IN doing so they missed a chance at gathering this wider feedback earlier on, as well as face potential problems from the stress on the server at release.

Yep. I think they clearly saw the effect of late NDA lifting and mass beta testing. It's almost like they're now playing catchup to address common requests. Regardless, they are obviously working their behinds off, so ultimately I still think it will work out well for them in the end.

I agree.  Skyrim you can loot clothes, weapons, and other stuff they had on them.

Sounds like they are fixing all the little annoyances i had while playing the beta. Can't wait for the launch.

I can't argue with what either of you wrote. I agree that they should have been more transparent earlier on because it's obvious to me that the closed beta testers were perhaps under the spell of excitement and were focused more on bug testing than the bigger picture. Regardless, for me I'm excited because unlike what I saw happen with TOR, they are making a huge effort to address a lot of complaints sooner rather than later. Had they waited until 3 months post launch for patch v18  and patch 181, I think that would have hurt their subscriber numbers once the 30 day free time is over. Let's give credit where it is due. They are in fact working their butts off to do something positive in the eyes of many who wanted these features, whether the features were big or small. Could they have done more 6 months ago? Probably but I tend to focus on the general response and direction they are taking and to me at least it's overwhelmingly positive.

Why would you want to turn off leveling in Cyrodil?

If you want to do the PVE content without outlevling it.

Yeah, they kept the NDA in place way too long and maybe not enough beta play early enough to work all this out. I just it's fixed for launch

    Brilliant.

Dev company adds a feature fans want before game even launches - then complain it wasn't added early enough.

    Brilliant.

How to adjust this was about the first question I asked when first starting to play. Coming from Tera it's a feature I really like.

The currently fixed reticule is more akin to Neverwinter.

Elder Scrolls have always been a First Person experiance, FPS games need FOV sliders. It is great that they are adding it, but it does not change the fact that all I got from the beta was a headache and nausea cause the FOV in 1st person view is as narrow as a console games.

Im so happy for the FOV slider, as long it goes high enough, I been telling about it in every survey and facebook, ingame feedback, good thing they are listening :)

Step in the right direction for ESO.

Hopefully with the FOV slider. They also look into the awkward third person camera.

Currently (based on betatest with a friend), it's simply too frustrating to group and much more enjoyable to simply solo play while chatting but it could be really cool to have a fluid and natural cooperative experience in the game.

Still, almost a month to launch, lots of things can change :)

As other posters have commented MOST mmorpgs provide this functionality, natively or otherwise...

I'm not sure what it matters. Your comment is less important than the post itself.
