I can't believe im saying this but im afraid this game will kill what was one of the greatest fantasy IPs in gaming history. I dont care if this post costs me my access, kill smy forum account, I dont care. Its worth warning you people if only for a few minutes.
Gaming companies should not be allowed to get away with this.
You know how we know the creators even know it sucks? Game breaking perks for preorder and collectors editions. This says it all.

Wow. Haven't seen one of these posts since they dropped the NDA.
Lay off the pot zigzag none of those perks are game breaking, don't pre order then you wont have to worry about it lol. As much as I agree the game needs work I wouldn't compare it to SWTOR just yet. Playing an old beta build for stress test doesn't give you any insight into the game.
I would agree the hype around TESO, as generated by gaming websites, seems to be in overdrive, as it was before the SWTOR release.
Thanks for the 1,000,000,000,000 warning in the past 2 weeks. Now, I must warn you. I will be playing early access. Thanks for wasting your time.
No, Imperials is a cross team race only Collectors edition people can play.
Just heard on Angry Joe's show that if you preorder the regular edition, then you can be any race on any team. Everyone else is confined to the set teams, which are bullshit anyways. These teams make NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!

So, just don't play the game?
There will be another Single Player Elder Scrolls game.
Careful, MMORPG is pushing ESO and Wildstar hard. Thou shall not criticize too harshly!
I got a naughty naughty for bad mouthing Wildstar.
Ya it means im not some neckbeard, Mr. 10 posts.

MMORPG should use their clout to influence game makers to make GOOD games. Im tired of this rushed and bland BS that keeps coming out.

Like you the OP is allowed to share his opinion as well....
I haven't gotten this on ESO, but I have been infracted for some pretty minor stuff when posting about Wildstar. I got infracted for calling Wildstar cartoony.
Thank you for your noble sacrifice. I don't know about everyone else but I consider myself warned. I'm not going to cancel my pre-purchase though but thank you.
Maybe a 3/10 on the troll post scale, but always fun watching the reaction. Just don't reply near as much, pro tip.
Seriously, watch Angry Joe's review on Youtube he says it best.
"Its an elder scrolls game with no Elder scrolls soul in it".

Then Im golden. I got the CE!
Playing a Breton though...does that make me bad?
I played SWTOR in beta, didn't care for it didn't buy it, didn't even go on to try it when it went f2p.
I played TESO' s beta cared for it bought it.
I see nothing comparable between the two games besides maybe the voiced quest givers.
If you don't care for the game that is your choice but that doesn't mean the game sucks it only means you don't care for it, move on life is too short.
Guess you didn't watch his most recent ESO video where he changed his opinion and now really likes the game and is playing at launch huh? Or his recent Wildstar video where at the end again he talks up ESO and how he is going to be playing at launch instead of wildstar
so wait, what you are saying is that if you could play Imperial it would be a great game.
can I donate the extra $5 for you, are you that fricking hard up??? Search the ESO forums here, there are coupons for Imperial CE for 64$
Zenimax and Bioware owned by EA are not the same company. They have different expectations and risk levels the two companies are willing to take. Heres a hint one is a publicly owned company that has to show consistent growth quarter after quarter no matter the cost and the other is a private run company that can do whatever the board feels is best for the long term success of the company.
Here's another hint. If TESO sold the same number of PC boxes as SWTOR combined with the console launch it would be the 2nd highest grossing launch tittle in MMO history. Where they go from there is a open question but unless they are fools they will take that flexibility that being a private owned company gives them and use it to build on that launch and make a game people are willing to pay for for a long time to come. The foundation is there but they will need a strong follow on to launch to keep the momentum going which is what SWTOR didn't have.
Wow... thank you! Consider us warned... Is there a particular mountain we should climb now? A shelter?

The amount of misinformation and the surprising lack of insight he showed toward the MMO genre was rather astounding for someone who is a fairly well known member of the "gaming media." I have no problem with someone not liking a game. There are plenty of MMOs and Single Player games I don't like. But, if you are going to be looked to for information about games, then you have a responsibility to your audience to provide accurate information. Not just hyperbole and opinion.
+1
ESO never had a chance to live up to the inflated vision that TES has become to purists. In order to make the leap from single player to MMO changes had to be made. The overall feel of the game from my perspective is pretty well done.
This game like any other will resonate with some and not with others. I will be the judge if the game is worthy of my money and my time. I never understood subjective warning threads... They are more self serving than informative. Now if the OP has some factual information on truly game breaking changes... I am all ears. Otherwise warning noted and dismissed.
