"Social media gives legions of idiots the right to speak when they once only spoke at a bar after a glass of wine, without harming the community ... but now they have the same right to speak as a Nobel Prize winner. It's the invasion of the idiots”

You win. I agree with you. Good queso is hard to beat. Especially with some slow cooked brisket in it. Damn straight.

I agree. Considering that the name of the game is Elder Scrolls Online and not The Elder Scrolls Online, it seems to be a rather open and shut argument.

NOTE: It's true that their web site uses ESO as the TLA when referring to the game, but the logo and trademark spelled out includes "The". I guess they wanted 3 letters instead of 4. If they want it abbreviated ESO but called "The Elder Scrolls Online" I guess that's their choice.

I agree that "the" should be left off of the acronym.
Also, while on the subject of "the", since when is it okay to alphabetize titles by the word "the"? This site does it, as do many others. I thought that you alphabetized with the first letter of the first word after "the" in a title, no?

It is odd to include "The" as part of an acronym.

Further oddity is that the word "the" is not a part of their logo.

Lighten up dude, just having a little fun.
Never make an acronym longer than it needs to be. You're using an acronym in the first place to shorten the real name.
