Adventure zone info!

Some adventure zone info trickling out.  Keep in mind none of this is officially confirmed yet.

-  First adventure zone is Craglorn - (map of Craglorn: http://www.esohead.com/zones/603-craglorn)

-  They are large zones (2/3 the size of the main zones) tuned exclusively for group content (4-12 man).

-  Each adventure zone will have a combination of questing, multiple dungeons, multiple caves, etc (just like normal zones) but all tuned for groups.  Some content will be small group and a large amount will be raid (12 players).  No solo content in these.

-  These zones MAY (apparently not confirmed, big rumor) introduce character progression beyond veteran level 10 rank.

-  There MAY be a second adventure zone (Trials) at launch.  There is uncertainty with this however that Trials may be part of the name of Craglorn "Trials of Craglorn" and there is actually just the 1 adventure zone.

So basically they are group zones, with group content..

If tyey add an extra veteran rank for every new zone they add, it would confirm what i was expecting, there is no real endgame but eternal progression...  Which also indicates my strong believe of more and new skilltrees overtime is true..

not just improving ypur gear ( ilvl) but also improving your character (AA) in a single system...

I hope they will also add Adventure zones with PvP enabled, and more normal story based zones ....

i would also love to see a version of the world where each and every zone, the whole world is at max veteran rank, so people can travel around and have a challenging fun experience while hunting shards and questing and such... But thats something we will fight for when the game is released, it would create the world as we know it from the ES games, where you can go everywhere.  If you have mega technollogy, you need to use it..

Oh and trials somehow reminds me of  ...... Trials of Atlantis...  Despite all the PvP people complainig about it, ToA had some great inique PvE concepts.   I can also envisioning them adding artifacts, that require leveling...

The artifact leveling was my favorite thing to do in DAoC.

I already like this idea better than raiding, and the fact that it's almost as big as a regular zone with its own dungeons and caves means it is like bringing back the dungeon crawl in an overworld setting. Very excited.

How can they bring something back that never went away.

The amount of content in this game is mind blowing.

If the 12 man content isn't instanced then it will just be as bad as the GW2 farm trains with just mindless zergs and no skill what so ever.

But is the zone instanced in the sense that I will have to load into it?

    Lobby system / Group Finder?

So if these trials are not instanced they are going to suck horribly.

I can already imagine getting a raid group together only to find all the mobs in the area have been cleared and a load of other groups camping the boss spawn waiting to get their one hit on the boss.
