Dragon Quest VIII for android

I read news at the end of 2013 that Dragon quest would be coming to iOS and android. Dragon quest 8 was released for IOS recently but i havent seen any news about a android release.

Have any of you  heard anything?

    I've been waiting for this as well, but I'd like to see the other remakes that were released in Japan.  I especially would like to have 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7.  It's never easy to tell when or if Square/Enix is going to bring Japanese games to the US.  They did bring some of their old Final Fantasy games to android.  In honesty I think the games looked better in 3D.  Dragon Quest looks ok in 3D, but I still think it looks better in 2D.

    Dragon Quest VIII is going to be available in Japan only. But that’s not horrendous news – it just means folks outside of Japan will have to wait a little longer before Square Enix potentially launches the title overseas.

    You didn't hear it from me, but it can also be played on the PS2 emulator on PC.

    That's what I've heard as well, but they haven't said they will localize the android games yet.  It seems to be all here say.  I would like to have the whole Dragon Quest collection just to relive the memories.  I've already played through the first one again recently.  They never released the Super Nintendo remakes in the US.  Those were some of the best versions.  I played the trilogy 1-3 that was released in Japan with fan translations.  They seemed much better then the Nintendo or Gameboy versions.  I still like the NES versions though.  The whole thing where you had limited light in dungeons and had to use a torch was great.
