WildStar: Raid Gear Revealed

I wanted to be a stalker or esper...

Now I'm leaning on Esper, their gear looks so much cooler.

And yes, the raid gear will look similar to WoW's version of raid gear, with 1 set per tier and 3 reskins of that set, yet Wildstar's reskins are actually really reskinned not just recolored like WoW.

Wildstar was designed to get people who HAVE played WoW, and ENJOYED it, but really miss old school BC WoW and really want a new MMO experience.  This is what they have been saying since the first time they announced the game.

What the raid gear looks like, has zero influence on whether I'd play a game or not. But if I could transfer the gears stats onto the gear of my choice it would be much appreciated.

While some look quite awesome, some of them look bit of a mess color wise.

 

 

Not sure what they where smoking with this one, think they need a few fashion tips on which colors work which don't.

Keep in mind the game has a dye system.

Esper, Engineer and Medic look cool.  Stalker wasn't as good as I had hoped.

The game has a costume and dye system already in place. You can look however you feel like outside of PvP.

That makes no sense, you are saying the colors are ugly no matter which color you pick.  Anyways all they are doing is using the dye system and throwing together the flashiest armor they can, you could easily have it as all black or white.

I like the warrior raid set 02 the best.   Medic has a cool one.. I hate the esper ones... definitely going Warrior for launch now since the Esper PVP and Raid sets look soooo bad.  :P

Well, if they allow for armor customization with taking out mods or pwoer cores or however their crafting/modifying works, and plugging that into different look gear, then armors could be just shells for their stats.

I got Power Rangers feeling from it. 

The Spell Slinger Raid 002 has to be the worst, though.

I just can't get past the whole wow-clone look of the game.  Talk about a lack of creativity.

Well.. you can't say that the raid gear doesn't fit in the overall look of the game. Have fun with it!

Well yeah it does fit the overall look of the game, except from what I've seen, none of the rest of the game looks this awkward.  I do like the Warrior armors but everything else is embarrassing, though I'm not sure most of them are as bad as the Sorrow's Embrace armor from GW2.  It's a toss-up.

im ok with Transformers- but they really failed on variety...nice first attempt though.

 

they should of used Futurama for inspiration imo.

It feels rushed. too power rangerish imo.

hopefully they have some cool animations -  and better variations in the future.

You got Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz, but to me..... 80% of that gear just looks really terrible. IMHO Maybe a WoW meets "Sci-fi stuff" just isn't a very good foundation for the visual appeal of your gear.

Hmmm, I don't know about some of those designs or color schemes.  If they are going to have separate PVP gear, then I wonder what those will look like.
