Any reason I should think of upgrading this? My CPU is the Intel 3750k GPU radeon hd 7850 sapphire.

Depends on what you play. The longer you wait the bigger the upgrade.

Is it under performing enough where major improvements in graphic performance are worth $300 to $700?

There is no point to upgrading this card until you have issues running the latest releases.
