Professions

Hey guys,

I'm playing an undead warrior at the moment. My goal is to be able to solo as much as I can, and I was wondering which two professions I should choose.

My instinct would be to take First Aid and Herbalism to be able to heal myself. But I'm also thinking about Mining and Weaponsmith to make weapons.

Any help much appreciated !

Frist Aid, as well as Fishing and Cooking, are free professions.  Meaning you can have them along with two others.  I personally believe all characters should get First Aid at the very least.

As a warrior, soloing has more down time than other classes.  The two best solo classes are, in my opinion, Hunter and Warlock.  But in WoW I wouldn't make it your main goal to solo, because when you are at level 60, everything revolves around getting a group.  If say, you did infact solo your way to 60, and then be forced to group to get decent items, you would not have learned to play your class effectively in a group setting, and it's likely you will make a lot of mistakes.

There are two different levels of professions, primary and secondary.

Secondary (You can have as many of these as you want, as well as two primarys)

    First Aid, Fishing, and Cooking

Primary (You can only have two of these)

Herbalism, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, Leather working, Blacksmithing, Alchemy, and Engineering.

For your case I would do Mining and Blacksmithing as well as first aid.  Fishing and Cooking are super good for hunters, but no one else realy needs them, unless you don't get first aid.  Do fishing too if you don't mind being bored while fishing.  Cooking will make the meat drops better for healing as well, but I just concentrated on first aid and had no trouble.

Priests and Druids don't really need first aid because they have a rejuvination spell that does the same thing. Fishing and Cooking go hand-in-hand because you cook the fish to receive the stamina/spirit boost.

As a warrior, I would definitely work on first aid. Mining/Blacksmithing would be a good choice. So would Herbalism/Alchemy for the attributes buffs, especially strength and health potions.
