I dont know about you all but I have been playing a super hero table top RPG for about 13 years now and have an extensive collection of completely original characters. I am sort of apprehensive about making them in this game as I was hoping to publish some of them in a comic book in the distant future, and would like them to stay my own until then. My making a character in the game do you know if that will make that character the property of NCSoft and the creators of City of Heroes?

While I am certainly not a copywrite lawyer, I would think that it would be difficult to copywrite something that you put out for public display in the context of a game like this.
That being said, I dont think it would be much of a problem -- since no character in this game will be truely original. You will be selecting from the super powers they came up with, and your character will look like one of the models they designed. IF you are able to attach a backstory to your character, it will probably be limited in length to the point it isnt worth stealing.
