ESO Launching 4.4.14 GET HYPED Thread!

Hey guys,

We're going to try out something new beginning with ESO and hopefully future major MMO releases. One thing we've noticed with every new game is that those of you who are most excited love to post countdown threads and the like just before the game comes out, so we want to tap into that excitement and experiment with putting together an official 'get hyped' thread just around the corner of every major MMO release.

The top banner of the site will feature a countdown timer as you may have seen previously with other events we've had and it will point to this thread. Just in case it's not clear, this is just a thread for you guys to go nuts and talk about how excited you are for the game's release in a couple of days. If you want to discuss the pros and cons of the game, be critical, etc. you have the entire rest of our ESO forum to do that. Trolling and off-topic posting will not be tolerated.

Launch/Early Access Times:

For 5 day early access:

  • North America (East): 7:00 AM EDT, Sunday March 30th--
  • UK/IE: 12:00 PM WEST, Sunday March 30th--
  • Central Europe: 1:00 PM CEST, Sunday March 30th--
  • Sydney, Australia: 10:00 PM AEDT, Sunday March 30th--
  • Singapore: 7:00 PM SGT, Sunday March 30th --

For 3 day early access:

  • North America (East): 7:00 AM EDT, Tuesday April 1st--
  • UK/IE: 12:00 PM WEST, Tuesday April 1st--
  • Central Europe: 1:00 PM CEST, Tuesday April 1st--
  • Sydney, Australia: 10:00 PM AEDT, Tuesday April 1st--
  • Singapore: 7:00 PM SGT, Tuesday April 1st--

...and for launch:

o   North America (East):        7:00 PM EDT, Thursday, April 3rd

o   UK/IE:                             12:00 AM WEST, Friday, April 4th

    Been looking forward to this for years. Always loved RPG's and the sense of adventure. Played the last Beta and found it stunning ( I am of the generation when me and the good lady wife stood watching in awe as a candle flame flickered in an instore demo of a game when I still had a waistline and hair.) Roll on Tuesday Mid day UK...

    Gonna be honest, haven't been this hyped up for a release since WoW first came out. Dunno if that's a good or a bad thing, but this game has taken my full attention lately.

    Well that and I have been waiting for an ES MMO since Morrowind.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it
    If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

    I'm not Jonesing, but I am definitely hyped for Sunday. I am looking forward to taking my time and enjoying the ride, unlike beta where I skipped through stuff because I didn't want to spoil things for the early part of the game.

     

    Just sucks that I have vacation this week, and have to go back to work next week. At least I will get all day Sunday.

    No game is for everyone.  WoW, Wildstar and EQN are not for me, atm.

     

    But ... ESO!  You bet!!!  Early release Sunday.  Like waiting for Christmas when I was a kid.

    Well, i for one have to admit that i just love this idea

     

    but then noboddy should be surprised by that... Less then 116 before pre release... And 120 hours more before release..

    I'm just gonna put this out there. Hasn't getting hyped for something always ended badly for the MMORPG community. Like im not gonna stop you but, this seems like a bomb waiting to go off.

    Because i can.

    Not really, last time i got hyped like this, i ended up with 9 months of funin Gw2.

     

    However, blind hype is never a smart things... But being enthousiastic about the good things a game has to offer is allways a good thing.. If i get half the fun i had with GW2, this game will be a personal success for me.

    My experience with past mmos makes me to not feel hyped. I mean I really want to play it but thats all.I understand there is going to be stuff I dont like (I already know some of them) and I stuff I do (freedom of choice on weapons and armor for example) and i hope to get a good enjoyment out of the game, as a game, not as a life replacer.

    I hope you guys have a blast and the game takes off well, I won't be joining you just yet.  Then again, maybe by the time I buy the game later this year, all the bugs will be fixed.  lol

    Hope all the people who are hyped for the game have a good time.

    I remember when I'm hyped for an MMO how exciting it feels when you first login and create your first character.

    Personally I'll be waiting until it's free to play since I'm only really interested in AvA and not THAT interested anyway.

    (Grins) till you get that fixed we revived the old countdown thread...

     

    However, cant wait to see that clock...espescially when the clock gets close to zero hour

    A few beta weekends was enough to just wet my appetite. Other than doing our "jobs" as beta testers--which we all did, right? image -- it helped me settle on an Alliance (AD) and I did enough playing on my Nightblade and Sorcerer to help me settle on a Sorcerer as my first.

     

    Now we get to do it for real. Can't wait for 4:00 AM Sunday to roll around :)

    Seems the countdown clock is finally comming up...

    And we will be continueing our countdown overhere...

    There is 101 hours left till early release in my book...

    Oh no Mike, i think your clock is trailing one hour...     it certainly is unless we change to summertime satturday night... in which case my hours have been one hour off all from the start..

    we in central europe have it bad with monday 1 in the night.

    those like me who work cant play before monday evening. but its ok. the first day isnt the mst important.

     

    is there an uptodate skill calculator?

    any wrnings about gimped skills?

    How stupid of me, it truely is daysavings time overhere in europe ...  

     

    Lets do the matt together Mike... Currently its 8;24 overhere in europe

    Sunday morning is 4 days away... 

    But saturday to sunday night, day savings time starts and the clock moves from 2 to 3 oclock in an instance, and we loose an hour of time..

     

    which means in 4 days it is exactly 9,24 ... which is 4 days 3 hours and 36 minutes from the 13.00 european release

     

    In the end the clock is 2 hours off

    EDIT: NM. Our site was lying to me. It says it's EST but seems to be using the correct time anyways. I've set it to 7AM, so it should be correct now.

    Nobody has anything to worry about, I'm here. I'm a veritable hype-backfire proof shroud of guarding with +9000 to prevent fail.
