Player Guilds vs. Character Guilds

PedrotePedrote Member Posts: 53

I have been playing several MMORPGs in the last years, and in all of them the guild/allegiance/clan/org system involved the characters only, not the players: you could have several chars from a same account in different groups. Now I have started playing GW, and it is the players who belong to the guilds, not only the chars; once you join a guild, all the chars in the account do.

I don't like much these player guilds, because you have to get a guild that better suits you in all aspects, instead of having the possiblility to have different groups for different things  (PvP, PVM, questing, roleplaying, socializing...), or even to spend some time soloing if you like with no interference. Moreover, takes some of the fun from roleplaying... specially for double agents image

I suppose they have good points too, but I can't see them right now... What do you like most? One player - one guild, or each char a guild?

for MMORPG's character guilds, but Guild War's needs player guilds, as its PvP, they dont want you to be in the #1 and #2 guild, and have you fighting yourself :P

Kinda like how in FPS games, your not supposed to be in two clans on the ranking ladders.
