Can someone give more info on auction houses or lack thereof?

I'm really on the fence about this game and whether or not to buy.

I like a lot of what I've seen, but I am a heavy-duty crafter, and when I craft things, I want to put them on the marketplace.

I've read elsewhere that there is no marketplace/auction house, but there are something else, like faction markets or whatever. Can somebody that's played give some specifics about how that works?

I *despise* spamming market chat channels to sell things, so I won't do that.

Thanks

You can join 5 player guilds, each of which has a Guild Store although they aren't linked to each other.  There would appear to be quite a few guilds going to be made that serve only as trading posts, so to speak, as all the people are interested in is the trading aspect.    The guild's chat channel could be used for selling and buying wares too, if you wanted to do it that way.

Guilds hold 500 players max, so make sure the trade guilds are always trying to max that number out, or you'll be losing potential customers.

there isnt an AH as you would think of it but honestly theres the guild shops which will be great for trading but the big thing is cyri keeps each guild who owns a keep can sell items to everyone from that faction, and yes losing that keep means you lost your store to your faction so keeping our keeps will matter..

It will still be easy to trade goods for cash and cash for other goods just done in a unique way I think its pretty neat, we will have to see how it plays out.

Everyone pretty much said everything.  I'm a crafter and will like it because item spammers won't kill my bottom line.  Which means and can just make whatever I want and put it in one of five marketplaces I have access too.  Player driven economy, it will probably be a couple weeks for things to even out as inter guild networks work them selves out naturally.

I foresee guild shops being really good at selling armor and and weapons, but Keep Guild shops will show a much higher turnover for really good potions, foods, and beverages.  They are cheap, good short term buffs that make excellent impulse buys to PVPers.  Profit margins on those should be really good if you take the perks that each crafting gives you an extra provision.

Lol all will say up front trust us.. as if the guild store would some how be cheaper then a server wide AH.

All this means is gold sellers paradise. Guilds will sell there store so to speak just to get more people. Just read what people said here haha. Yet now gold sellers (guilds) please its 2014 not 2004 you know how this works well sell your for real money all the items and gold you need.
