With all the recent news(sparse fast fourier transform 2014,opengl announcement from intel amd AND nvidia on the same floor etc)what is going on android side, did te hardware and software maker decided window needed competition on the gaming front ?hell intel even went to the trouble of 64 bit (ing)android ,not a task for the faint of heart.so i ask did the mobile market decide android was gona be their champion on the gaming front.hell everything is there google just need to assemble.

ARM is going 64-bit this year (Apple actually launched a 64-bit ARM chip last year), so Android presumably would have gone 64-bit anyway even without Intel doing anything.

It was pretty much a foregone conclusion once ARMv8-A came out with 64 bit in 2011.

Android has had a 64-bit code path for quite some time now.
