I've played since the 30th and I've encountered one bugged quest, which my computer fixed for me by freezing and forcing me to relog. I almost cancelled out of spite.
I've experienced the random kick error twice. It was horrific, I almost got in my car and rampaged through my neighborhood.
My horse was too slow, I walk everywhere in game, but when I do use it I get dismounted every time I interact with something. Once again rage inducing, had to pop my BP pills, didn't see that coming.
The game ran rather smooth for those who could get in (me) and it was enjoyable all around and I was surprised there wasn't any major downtime yet, like every other mmo launch I've experienced since '99, but alas, the overwhelming cries of "this game is shit, I know because I haven't played yet" finally hit the mega server and they have brought them down to repair issues.
I used the Early Access Key, realised it was still shit like the beta and got a full refund.
The game is just boring, it is not a good Elder Scrolls game or a good MMO, just a weird middle ground between the two and it fails badly as both and is a boring mess.
i personally dont need to get a refund. I'll get my $48 bucks worth of game time the first free month (if the servers are up). After the free month, however...... The game has to magically become flawless to make me subscribe here instead of another mmo that has more content and is more polished for the same price.
For anyone interested I did get my refund and it was fairly painless. I used the online ticket to request it and got a response within a day. The guy asked me for my date of birth and secret question answer first then the last 4 digits of my CC in a follow-up email and I was set. Kudos to zenimax for not being money grubbing bastards as far as refunds go, you never know with onling gaming.
As I purchased disc copy I'll be getting my refund direct from the store I bought it from. Have cancelled sub and uninstalled.
Shame really, I was really looking forward to playing it...but after three days of endless emails to customer service and altering just about every single setting on my PC and Router in an attempt to even be able to download it, I've come to the conclusion that the launcher problems are not something I can fix. I'll go back to playing Tera and FFXIV...those other games that on launch day I just installed and played.
I might come back in a couple of months when they've got through with their extended beta.
