How do i sign into the offical forums?

Ive been onto the forum page (it seems there is only one forum for evey single person on the planet, even german mixed with english??) and ive tried to log in with my game login username and password and it dosnt work?? It says i can register but I have to put an activation code in? Where do i get this from?

Its the email address associated with the account and the password, not the account name you log into the game with. It is confusing.

Its confusing with little information (as is becoming the norm). I played in beta but created a new account when I pre-ordered. I got an "invite" to join the forums so I tried my account info and that doesn't work. From what I can gather we have to create a separate forum account - great, two accounts for the one game.

 

The only thing you'll see when you get in there is how shit house the customer support is - shame for such a large capital game.

That's not true. You cant sign in using your account User ID or account email. You need to create a forum account and they recommend not using the same. Making everyone have two accounts is their way of helping those people who get themselves hacked / key logged.

 

For us beta users it may of been that way as we had to create an account first to get in the beta invite list and then most of us instinctively used the same for our beta account access.

I didnt buy the game I still have access to the forums with the one (account name) I had in beta though. Not sure if that is an over sight or theyre letting anyone who ever made an SO account for any reason long in and be able to comment in the forum sections.

I still can't figure this out. It says I need an "invitation code" that is not mentioned anywhere else. I went back through all of my emails, and never received any code.

I am enjoying the game, but this is the dumbest forum system I have ever seen.

Should have an email to the email linked to your game account in your inbox with a link inside to click that fills out the invitation code for you.

 

Yes it is - I created a new account and couldn't use (or even delete/change) my old account name (which I wanted) so that means people who played in the beta and didn't by the game have effectively tied up a heap of names. You cant even change or delete an account without sending an email to customer service. I cant believe with the amount of capital sunk into this game and the length of development that this multi - language, non flexible PoS is what they cam up with.

 

Wait to you have to navigate the three languages - why is there even French and German exclusive languages? Surely they don't have a game population to rival other countries such that they get there own language.? Surely Asian countries would beat them on population (not that I'm suggesting we have a fourth language to navigate).

That's what I assumed, but I went back through every email I have ever gotten from them, and there's no mention of the forums at all. No links, nothing...

Guess I won't be using their forums. No big deal.
