LOL. You know, in past MMO you just knew that if its longer then one hour, go to bed, its going to be a very long maintenance. Also it helps to look at the Official Server Status Webpage found here:
Well would you look at that, they had all kinds of communication about mainenence, guess you just had to know where to look before getting angry and rushing to the forums...

Good morning, all. Maintenance on the North American megaserver is still under way. We know you have questions; we'll have a more detailed update for you shortly. Thanks for hanging in there while work on bringing things back online.
It's sad when a thing like this happens, but I think Zenimax is actually doing a good job at it: They had the courage to take the servers down fast and tell people what happened instead of trying to hush the problem and let it expand.

And today's daily double.
Here is your question ?
What happens at release to every mmo ?
Answer:
what is downtime.
If that 79 in your name is indicative of your birthday, real original if it is, then I am rather surprised you would continue to act smart especially after the last time you tried acting smart and came out looking like a complete tosser.

Legit complaints? Yes..
Par for the course? yes...
Sorry the guy is right, it's MMO fans that perpetuate this climate, they don't demand better, they continually accept broken launches, then run to the next expecting something different. How many flawless launches can we count? How many even close to that? None? Even the launches we view as "good" were not without their own problems.
When people stop running to be the first to pre-order simply for a few gimmicks at launch. Most of these sales happen long before a game is even in a playable state. The industry may have to change their ways, until then expect more of the same.
I really like ESO, yet the second I heard that "quest bugs aren't fixed" I knew I was waiting until at least the 3-4 month mark before I buy this game. I wait because I don't support giving companies money for broken products.

That response the second poster linked to really had me wondering.
HOW would a different server "manifest"the issue of items magically appearing ,servers have absolutely NOTHING to do with the gaming code.Someone would have had to add code that adds a random item from database and i just can't think how that could happen by "mistake".Then how does that happen to ONLY some players, seems really weird. Then it usually takes teams forever to fix bugs,we have all seen the obvious broken quests where devs know exactly what portion of code to look at and can't fix it for weeks and this time around they found the problem quickly?idk man just sounds like something fishy going on.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

its because Zenimax "white coated" what the real problem was -- people accidentally logging into others accounts

Well sorry I some how hurt your little feelings. I guess you expect to be able to attack others and not get a response, sorry that's not the case. I really do appreciate you being a fan of mine and following me around mmorpg .
