For people who don't know the nerf:
Revised the quest to kill 20 players in Cyrodiil to make it a daily quest, rather than repeatable.
It was a nice source of Alliance rewards but it was not really for the alliance but the exp you gained. This pretty much help people who liked to just pvp and leveling while in Cyrodiil very possible. Even the alliance rewards that you gained was coming in a fair speed so you can keep most of your gear updated.
Now don't get me wrong. I think this is pretty much the worst thing to do is have people level via Cyrodiil as this is a PvE game and should be experienced fully that way. But I also understand that PvPers are just PvPers and they like it and that is a 100% fine. I do want to support them and have their own thing. This pretty much kills that now..
Anyways I thought I make a post on what you guys think about this change.

I agree. I leveled a few characters in GW2 purely through PVP and I wanted to do the same.
I hope they put in an alternate quest or add new quests.
I'm not much of a quester so the repeatable kill quest made the game ok (still slower to level then questing).
I'm not sure why Zen so wants to force people to run through their quests (
Palazious <The Vindicators> Darkfall
Palazious r40, rr45 SW War
Palazious 50 Pirate PoTBS
Palazious 35 Sorcerer Vanguard
Palazious 75 wizard EQ
Paladori 50 Champion LOTRO
Poppa Reaver bugged at rank15
Congrats on your first post! Account from 2004 lol.
Anyways, I think the scouting missions are not daily, but they are tedious to do (except if the campaign map is not busy enough). The rewards from scouting missions are scant as compared to kill missions though.

IT depends on you personally really. You do get bolstered up to 50, but you are no where near as effective as a real geared/skilled 50. Think SWTOR before the post 50 split in PVP. Once they got the 50's into their own matches it wasn't so bad.

If you enjoy PvPing then No.. But it's not a good source of leveling in anyway. And should not be 50 but 50++. Don't forget their is the 10 vet levels that take you through another 300 hours of content / leveling once you hit 150.

The truth is people used this quest to level faster then intended. Zenimax didn't catch on in Beta because the people that used the quest in live were already testing at 50.
So when those 50's used the quest to grind to 50 in less then a day... it was an issue. Zenimax addressed the issue... simple as that.
If they are who cares. Its not destroying anyone elses game. If they are gain resources which are effecting the economy nerf the reward, no reason to get angry over people leveling up fast because they hate the content.
Now PvPers are pissed they cant level via pvp. The simple issue caused another issue.
And yes. It affects people. Emperor status and the like. With the bonusses and shops..ring the bell?
In any case. They decided its not the way to use their product and they chandeg it..so the argument is moot.
No, but zenimax needs to make it to where PvP activities also grant additional EXP and Alliance points so dedicated PvPers don't feel like they need to take breaks.
This was done due to people exploiting it though. It would be pretty easy to find a secluded area in the other faction's zone and zerg rush naked alts to their death.

This game is largely focused on PVP, so maybe they want to play this one? How is the point moot? It's a matter of agreeing with the change or not, some people don't, you're going to have to accept that. It would be really silly to assume ZOS looks at this in such a way, if enough of the playerbase dislikes this change they will undo it. SO it certainly isn't moot to voice how you feel about it.

Stick to messing up only one game please.
The truth is you are 100% correct in that people most likely used it to fast level. So the response of Zenimax is to nerf pvp lvling by an insane amount. That is one way to fix it, that is the cheap and easy way that rear-ends legit pvp players. That is the Zenimax way. The way I would think a company charging a sub would handle it? Perma ban the people involved with the exploit and make it public as a warning. Have your support watch for more exploiters and ban them. That would be much more expensive and time consuming though. And Zenimax only seems interested in getting paid and not fixing problems with the game, as evidenced by the numerous broken quests that have been broken for some time. They know you will pay, because media hype sells games these days...not good gameplay and design.
Two giant zergs clash in the open field say 100 people on both sides, people drop 10 at a time and only 1 victor remains. Both sides repeated their kill quest say 3 times for each side. Do you think massive exp and alliance points gains in this way is healthy for the game?
Particpating in PvP activities and getting huge rewards for being successful is better for the game IMO. Give everyone present for keep flipping and other activities the rewards. It also easier to police leechers.

I 100% agree with you.
There are 70+ other daily/one time quests in PVP that grant sick XP, I know, I've done them and leveled faster than doing PvE. Deal with it.
Please list them so people can see what they are so we can put this thread to rest.
