If you get "your login is incorrect, please try again" in-game you are having a bad time at the mome

Hey guys, 

 

I need no introduction, I made it clear for everyone that I have this problem, and some other people does as well.

 

To make a short summary anyway:

 

I have activated the headstart key, and my account works just fine on the homepage www.elderscrollsonline.com , however, I cannot enter in-game. Some other have the same problem - not everyone, but there are many other with the same problem, both on reddit, the official forum, and even here.

 

I have contacted Zenimax so many times now and talked with so many supporters that it gets more and more frustrated.

 

Sadly, this night, I got a reply from one of them regarding they are not even aware of this problem and they don't see it as something urgent apparently.

 

So it you are in the same boat as I am - with headstart and all that - you are probably going to play at launch neither.

 

Just wanted to headup anyone with the same problem as me...

 

I can't even get a refund since I bought it from another site than Zenimax, so I am stuck with a broken game.

There's another thread about this...

 

A site fraudulently sold you an early access key + full game.  What you really have is the master key for the game to play post April 4th.  If you had both early access and the game, then you would have 2 codes, not 1.

 

The master key won't work until launch.

 

There are many early access keys (without game) being sold on EBay .. I wonder where they came from ... one of those might be the one you paid for

 

EDIT: sounds like a ZOS bug .. disregard as applicable, if the suggestions work when the game becomes live again.

I can confirm, that my key is a headstart key. For full post + pictures about this, feel free to check this post. For now, I can show you that it is indeed a headstart key, not a retail key:

 

As you can see, the key is registered as "3 days early access".

I get he exact same message sometimes when the server is down. Which has been every damn single time I try to play during head start. Havent got to play yet...at all. I work nights and get off work @ 2 AM. Sleep till 1 and go to work @ 2. I'm sooo pissed off right now that they would start head start during the work week. Built a new computer last weekend just to play this and have yet to be able to log in and play. So if the server is down, which it prob is that's the reason your seeing this error. Try when you KNOW the server is up and you should be able to log in just fine. So many people are just simply not smarter than the shit they operate. Ahhh the follies of ignorant youth! Same goes to the ignorany masses that are bitchin cause they lost their pre-order items. Don't claim em till your ready to commit to a character, or simply sock them in the bank before you delete that first character....

it sounds like you indeed have the same problem as me. I have tried that my friends were playing, and I tried to login without any success. It keeps saying my login information is incorrect. please try again.

 

And it does not say this error when the servers are down. I cannot remember the exact error line, but it does indeed say something else.

They should address problems like this as a priority imo. Hope they sort this problem out asap.

I've actually gotten the same error a few times. I kept just trying to login and it eventually let me in.

I have tried to spam login - no success. It won't accept my account.
