Lack of feedback

carpalcarpal Member UncommonPosts: 99

Enjoying the game so far, but there seems to be a real lack of feedback in game, which bothers me.  Also, the whole block, interupt thing is useless in PVP.  With instacast, its just useless.  Also feel like PVP really is just zerg, and I don't see it being long term fun, at all.  And there is little reward for the zerg, especially now that you only get dailies on the PVP quests.

When playing PVP, I really just don't care who is winning where, its seems pointless.  For Melee, if you run into battle, its bang band dead.  The only strategy is to it back with range (and kill the other team who is still trying Melee).  I find it, well boring already.

I can see PVP being really fun with a large amount of coordination, but lets face it, that will be few and far between.  Nope, its just people dying and rushing into the fray.

There needs to be more feedback in PVP, there needs to be more incentive.

me and 4 friends wrecked a zerg "tail" just by crouching and waiting for stragglers, after killing about 20 or 30 people the zerg was broken and we won the siege

So yeah, find friends with teamspeak or shit like that

    btw we had 3 melees

You are only mindless zerging, rushing in and dieing because you want to

Wow! Not sure why you're complaining. Zen was completely open and you had ample opportunity to figure all this out before hand. Wow just wow.

Ya did that too with a small group, but before we finished, their tail of zerg followers came in and crushed us.  Was like that the whole, day.  Just felt pointless.

I'm genuinely not sure what you're talking about...

If you're PvPing before 50 and there's someone a couple of levels higher than you.. you WILL die faster.  That would be the point.

Zerg's can easily be broken up.  Most times it's a rock-paper-scissors effect like in games of old.  Yea, there are no dedicated healers so you have to worry that that DK you're attacking might be DPS or Tank or Heals.  Heck, that makes it fun.  You have to CHOOSE your battles.  Sometimes it's easier (like the above poster) to pick off the tail of groups.  Sometimes it's better to crush the coordinator.

As for blocking, blocking only affects certain things.  It isn't like some mystical magic shield that stops everything from touching you.  Otherwise everyone would run around blocking all the time.

Don't you think they came for us too?

Its not like you can just stand there and kill unmolested, but one of us actually had some good-sense and knew when to pull out when the heat was too much

It was not pointless, we killed 3 ppl trying to set up a ranger camp, we did our job

Doesn't ruin my day, I just don't understand why you're complaining when you should have known all of this already. This is the game that you and several others bought, Zen was open and you bought it, when you purchased you told them you like the product and now before it officially even launches you're complaining already.

What are you talking about?  Don't go to such extremes, I never said I feel ripped off, just having a discussion and interested in what other people are experiencing.  Geez, not trying to change your mind or anything.  Relax.

Gonna give it more time.  My guild is prepping to get us organized in TS so hoping that works out.  I was just hoping for more smaller scuffles (hate zerging).  Auriel's Bow is just packed, I mean loads of zerg players.  Gonna try a guest campaign and see if there is some fun there.

You're not changing my mind, I thought the game sucked so I didn't buy it. There were all the tam topics and beta opportunities available for you to figure that out. But now you're complaining? Did you just blindly purchase this game because you bought into hype? If so I can understand complaining, but if you beta tested and read up, then you have no reason to complain now.

No I bought the game because I love MMOs and always buy the big AAA ones, they are always a load of fun at launch, with new players, everyone new to the game.  Its $50, which is like nothing.   I also like Elder Scrolls single player games, so thought it would be a load of fun.  And it is.  But I have played alot of MMOs for many many years.  I can already see the PVP being long term boredom, and I really don't want it to be that way, it has potential.

GW2 PVP is really zergy, get on the Zerg Train!  But at least there you are getting some rewards.  But I stopped playing GW2 before xmas.  So this is my new game for a while.

while I agree $50 is peanuts, when you just buy whatever crap becomes available, there is no incentive to develop a true quality game. Vote with your wallet, that's the only way to be heard. Unfortunately many think like you are. Raise your expectations my friend, don't accept mediocrity because the media hyped it as a triple A mmorpg.

    At least GW2 don't charge you a monthly fee. That's something :)

Wow you really are just in a bad mood today aren't you.  I don't care about "voting with my wallet".  I like the game so far, its a well put together game.  I like Indie games too.  Its about having fun, and for the last few days, I already got my $50 of entertainment and more.  Doesn't mean I like everything in the game, and always wanting improvements.

I'm not angry, indecisive, bad mood, or anything, I just asked why in the world would you complain. Don't want to vote with your wallet? That's fine but you're always going to be complaining then. This melee pvp obviously bothered you enough to make this thread. You can say $50 well spent all you want, but when one spends $50 and they are unhappy, I don't care how little that $50 means to them, that wasn't $50 well spent.
