I'm not too bothered. I bought the game on Monday but to be honest haven't had much time to play any way because of work. I hope all this downtime means that when I have a serious sesh over the weekend it's smooth as a baby's bum.

    Something I didn't realize...and I'm sure most here didn't...

Release is at 7PM EST tonight not tomorrow. Thus this downtime.

    Also....

"foreing country" spelling.. what Canada or Mexico? Yawn..just playing..

Yeah why do people get upset? Why not be like all the rest just roll over for them. Don't expect what you were promised..haha what looser does that.

So "some" of you paid $60+ and were promised something you did not get and its ok. Man you are the people I want to sell to!

This is where the "all mmos have done this". Then you make fun of (in a very nice way) those that took time off to have what was promised. A..ok

Granted the other side is you have to take the game down when so many found ways to cheat or bugs that HAVE to be fixed. My son found this out. Had to write a program (black jack) was working fine but when had to pay the house it paid both lol. So he fixed that one small problem then the whole thing keep crashing.

I bashed this game after paying beta where I should have just waited. Well I am now having more fun then I ever did in beta.. who new.

Its been down when I've wanted to play the past few days, and I'm east coast US. I wouldn't say I have a "regular playtime", just as I don't have regular work hours. I'm only a hardcore gamer for, typically, one game every few years. This has been that game for me. I put in a LOT of time during early access, but I do contribute to society. I work six days, on salary (sometimes 40 hours, sometimes 60) but only have to spend one day a week in the office to do payroll. The rest of the week I'm free to game, sleep, and eat whenever I please - as long as I get my work done by whatever my deadline is. There are many jobs that allow this same freedom, so I don't think categorizing people playing frequently as non-contributing members of society is fair. I'm not about to apologize for NOT having a typical 9-5. I spent 10 years in that type of job, and I don't plan to go back.

It also kinda depends on where they are as a business and their operating hours (major teams on hand). Considering they're on EST standard time here in the US, it makes sense that Downtime works in the companies favor over pretty much anyone else. That just happens to favor  North American playtimes. They are a US based company though that should be expected

I understand that may make those in the EU feel like the second class of player, but it is what it is. Does it really make it better if we understand that or not though? The problem is still a problem.

They sell/offer early access and end up having the servers down every other day for 10+ hours at times.  Now the servers are down again removing even more "early access" time from people.

Basically they took money from players to let them play early and beta test one last time for them.

As irritating as it is to have the servers down, that game is just that good. There's no way I'm gonna give it up. Or let it down. Or even run around and desert it.

I know,  I guess I should give them some slack right? Why can Blizzard do it but Zenimax can't?  If that happened to say ArenaNet, people would be flaming all over the place. But ArenaNet also delivered.

I can understand servers going down/lag/disconnects etc. But maintenance all the time? Blizzard did their maintenance at like 3 am in the morning.

Is this the service we are to expect? It would be worrying if this keeps happening after launch. They can get away with this now as it is early access. But if they make a habit of taking the servers down for maintenance during prime time then that will be completely unacceptable. Because they are making the game unplayable for people yet they are charging us a sub :D

Yet another hack having NO CLUE what goes on during early release.  This is totally NORMAL and expected during early access.  Obviously you have never been in one from the sound of it.  Does it suck?  Yes.....but trolling with your title is weak.  They just posted this on the official forums for all the crybabies who probably flooded CS with complaints.  Gotta love the new generation of gamer's with this ME ME ME  instant graftification mindset.

Can someone clarify please what exactly does it mean? What they meant by transition from early access to live. What's the difference, what will we have to do?

Also should I create my character before then, to take use of being able to play any race in any faction or will I be able to do that even next week?  Because I still haven't created the character.

That's the beauty of actually working for a living.  You don't notice a thing when it's down since you're at work. ;)

Anyone been keeping track of the up/down time?  Would be nice to see a percentage of up time and downtime over the three day and five day early access.

Haven't had an issue until today.  Unlike some, I don't waste sick/vacation time on game launches that are almost always chaotic anyway.
