"for customers eligible for early access, please note that we have extended the early access period until Sunday, april 6th at 8 AM EDT/ 12 PM GMT"
reading comprehension problem you say?
It's not my fault you have a hard time understanding what early access is. If a game launches, it is, by definition, no longer early access.
I can claim anything. For instance that I'm emperor of the world. That doesn't make it so.
It's not brain surgery bro.
you're essentially arguing the semantics of it all? THe point is instead of being billed from the forth on, you'll be billed form the 6th on.
You essentially get 2 free days.
Yes but unlike early access you do not also get 2 days ahead of those that pre-ordered it without early access. The difference is there and for some it is a massive change to their projected E-peen growth before others also start growing theirs.
That said I will hold back and enjoy this game when it goes F2P in about a year or so for its crafting, most likely.

You get 2 free days. Which basically covers the last two days of down time.
You don't get 2 free days though.
If your read the link the OP posted it says that they are giving two free grace days for those that purchased physical copies. They also extended this to those that bought digitally.
The reason is not for the down time. This something that you are reading in to it yourself.

I see that you noticed they extended it for those who bought digitally, so that means there are 2 extra free days. There is no need to extend it for those digitally as they will already have the game, but to make it fair they extended it by 2 days for the digital customers too
30 days game time starts when early access finishes, which is now Sunday instead of today.
The extra 2 days Early access now means time before the 30 days begins.
As long as you have an early access code you do not need to go live and start the 30 days until 6th April. If you do not have early access then you need to set up a subscription and 30 days begins today.
The game has launched but the early access period has not yet ended now, as they have extended it by 2 days. Once both criteria is met then the 30 days begins. (It does NOT say "Once the Early Access period is finished OR the game has launched")

I didn't say it was for that. I said it covered it and I very much added that myself. Wouldn't both box and digital cover everyone? SO everyone gets this 2 extra days before they start getting billed. HOw is that not 2 free days for those who pre-ordered?

No they said it's an extra two days before the thirty free days. They clearly stated that. It's only for preorders though so anyone buying now start their thirty days.
I'd say it's pointless trying to explain it to that poster, I count no less than 5 people trying to explain it to him. I see him backpedaling a bit on what he said earlier, which means he knows he's wrong, he just doesn't want to admit it publicly on the forums.
I have the following character levels, 18, 14, 12, 12, 8, 6, and 6. I have only ever ran into one single problem in my entire time playing. The priestess quest in AD bugged out, which was easily fixed by relogging...I don't know of many games that can say there's only 1 bug met in as much playtime as I have had...Heck I see more bugs in WoW in a single day than that lol.
QQers gonna QQ. Haters gonna hate...The game is stable and bugs have been fixed or are easily fixable...or maybe I'm just lucky, or people are making stuff up.
As for the free days, it's just like when WoW launched, they're giving us the free days to make up for the time missed...I don't think anyone has done this since WoW now that I think of it lol.
Due to the downtime and to give people enough time to pick up their copy they have extended early access. In essence, a couple extra free days before the 30 days kicks in. Good decision.
Glad to hear the game has extended the early access by 48hrs. I'm hoping to pick up my preordered IE later today & if the shop doesn't get it in until Monday at least I can still play this weekend.
For some reason for people who entered their retail code today and subbed we didn't get 2 extra days. Our account is showing 29 days now; i hope its an error.

Nope he is right. Right before you log in it is clearly written 'For all members elgible to early access'. I am sure it is an error that moment players enter sub the count shows as 29 days.
If what you are saying was true they would have mentioned it more clearly.

They are not giving anyone more game time. They are giving players who's games or keys are being delivered late extra time to go live with their game. If you lost game time due to the servers being dead for 16+ hours, too bad.
This game has barely reached official launch and already has had more downtime than the original Guild Wars has had in eight years. How far modern games have come!
Did you even read the message, It clearly says that it also gives people in early access more early access time lol. As in now you don't activate the game until Sunday which is 2 more days of early access.
p.s. Must have hit the post button as someone else pointed this out..... doy!
sounds tricky but anyway ... 2 days down were their servers ? this doesnt sounds so successfully ...

Q: When do I begin my included 30 days of game time?
A: Once the Early Access period is finished and the game has launched (see server launch times above), please visit https://account.elderscrollsonline.com and follow the prompts to select your preferred subscription plan. For customers who prefer to purchase Game Time cards from a retailer instead of using a credit card, we offer this as an alternative option for your convenience. Redeeming a Game Time Card or selecting a subscription plan will commence your 30 days of included game time.
