You may want to rethink that bit.........

I agree. Elder Scrolls Online is a win for me.

So far, I must say that it seems to be more a success on these forums than I would have thought. Given the, seemingly, pessimistic and contrary nature of many here; I'm quite surprised by the mostly positive response. Hopefully this bodes well for the game. It's not my cup of tea right now, but maybe in a few months

Game is great. I am loving it. Questing in this game is so much more fun. The quests feel like they have a purpose and there is interesting background lore behind them. Very nice indeed.

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

I can honestly say this is the best MMO I have played in years...maybe the best MMO in 6-7 years or so...never thought I would say that about a game that is not a sandbox.

1 ) Not the first MMO to change the leveling grind.

3 ) Not the first MMO to make PVP matter

I don't think anyone said it was the first MMO to do that. If someone gives me $5 and then the next day someone else gives me $5 do I not say thank you? Should I say "you're not the first person to give me $5!! Way to be a copycat!'.

How you compare paying a company 60 to 80 dollars to someone giving you 5 bucks is beyond me. A company earning the money they want to earn for their work isn't the same as some stranger giving you free money. Also, the terms interesting and matter don't mean they are better or worth money either.

    You're not intelligent, mate.

All they meant was you can't get enough of a good thing... and you've gone mental over the semantics and the literal meaning instead of simply knowing that it's an ANAOLOGY!

Let's try another for you... if you BUY a burger and it tastes great because of some special sauce they are using.. then you BUY one from somewhere else that tastes just as good because they are using the same sauce.. do you say the second one wasn't as good?

Thank you! I was literally just staring at my screen trying to comprehend his response. It's like he didn't even read my post and just saw $5 and went off.

I've had mixed feelings for awhile but after making the switch to Daggerfall (made a Redguard), and doing their starter island (farrrr better than Ebonheart's, imo ) I've really been getting into it. I also have a more clear build idea than I did before and it''s quite the motivator. The combat really starts rounding out as you put your theme together, for me anyway.

All in all, I'd say this is certainly one of the more well-done and interesting mmos I've played in years. The writing and voice acting alone seems like a good enough reason for a solid playthrough. Looking forward to progressing through it and maybe messing around with the pvp at some point.

I hope you don't regret it in a year... many did that with SWtOR.

    7) Letting us talk to pretty much every single npc in the game

    8) Adding a proper day and night cycle

    9) Having changing weather in game

    10) Allowing players to enter most buildings

The game made me realize how tired I am of all those 24 hours of sunshine a day games where you want to talk to a random npc or you'd like to enter that house over there and you can't.

I won't, with swtor I got to max level before the headstart ended then was stuck with broken raids. With this game however, I am enjoying every bit of the levelling process.  Plus this game is nothing like swtor, other than the voice overs.

TESO is like GW2 and Elder Scrolls had a baby with downs.

Very boring game to me with hype no different then any other AA release. I suspect it will keep interest about as long as SWTOR with the only difference being TESO takes slightly longer to hit cap.

I agree with most of this.  They've made a game that feels different from the "more of the same" we've seen from mainstream games in the last decade.

No game is perfect, but they've done a very nice job with this one so far.  Definitely a lot of fun.

Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.

I agree with all of this. Now, Zenimax has to deal with the very legitimate gripes of some players and do it a timely fashion. It would be a shame to let all the good they've done be marred by poor customer service and a lack of responsiveness at launch.

Customer service and their responsinveness from my personal experience is top notch. Emailed them with the problem, it said they will reply within 1 business day but I got a reply solving half of my problems within <1h of sending. I replied, got a reply back in 20min, and this happened 3-4 exchanges. Extremely quick, prompt and helpful responses.

    1) Plenty of games have done that

    2) Same as the first, but then again TESO IS a quest hub heavy game so this point is silly

    3) How exactly does it matter to the pure PvE player? xD

    4) TESO is a themepark though

    5) That shit simply ain't true. Look at eve online /enough said. Idiots are simply everywhere and they are the most vocal, there's no escape :)

    6) That will bite them in the foreseeable future

Save your effort, these people are still in honeymoon mode and believe that TESO is the best thing since the computer.
