Newly released game with 200k+ support tickets. Sorry its taking to long to get to you!
Well, they have 35 days in total (now about 20). I'm not going to renew the subscription with all the account issues pending. Which is unfortunate, because I do like the game, despite the myriad small other problems.
If you call THE leader in quest driven MMOs then ya TESO might be worth buying. It is the definitve RVRVR and lore MMO in the industry right now. You'd be stupid not to buy it and play it.
Everyone loves quests and this has quests lots of them and you have to read them or you'll be like those haters who don't understand how good quests are. So if you have half a braind you'll buy this game and quest and maybe some RVRVR and that alone is worth the sticker price.
Screw the haters TESO is life. It'll take you MONTHS to complete all those quests. The devs even said so themselves 150 hours at LEAST of pure quest driven PvE.
If that doesn't get you excited then quit MMOs now please because you obviously hate them.

While I agree that quests can spice up an mmorpg and contribute greatly as a storytelling element, they do not define mmorpgs. Perhaps they define themepark mmorpgs, but that's where the influence ends.
I disagree, great storylines that are spread across the virtual world provide meaning and engagement with that virtual world that provides an environment where those who can, can immerse themselves. It's a critical component, that's why some modern players fail to engage or immerse themselves - they see quests as a pure xp mechanic.
rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

It's true there is a reason why EQ was the big bada$$ in the block. Because their lore and quests were the most engaging in the time. ESO is the next most engaging thing in the neighborhood and no one can beat them MMO-wise. Play it OP.
