found it, sory for the double post. eso tos regarding early cancellation.

browsed through eso tos my earlier post on eso charging early cancellation on eso's tos.

here it is, browsed through the tos.

The TOS itself is preventing proper cancellation. Some people upon subscription are left with less than 30 days of game play before subscription takes place. Cancelling it within less than 30 days violates their ToS granting them "permission" to charge you for next month regardless. SOME were given an extra day or two, but no one said that those days will be considered valid for purposes of cancellation, and as for the time being ZeniMax is proving to be an irresponsible child rather than a respectful company.

^ that was some source from a eso player

but here is the real eso tos regarding to early cancellation of your 30 days on eso. I went to look for it, i am curiosu if its true or not.

Section 5. Article 2
" If You have subscribed for an automatic subscription renewal, You agree that Bethesda may continue charging You on an automatic recurring basis for Your current subscription preferences unless You cancel Your subscription at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the subscription."

this is from the actual eso tos, take it what you will of it.

Sounds like you are forced to pay a month no matter what.

    ..which is followed by

    --------------------------------------------------------------

You have the right to cancel Your Account or a particular subscription to a Service at any time.  Additional cancellation terms in respect of a particular subscription may be specified when You subscribe, in Your Account information, or in notices for subscription renewals.

    That's really wierd.

If You have subscribed for an automatic subscription renewal, You agree that Bethesda may continue charging You on an automatic recurring basis for Your current subscription preferences unless You cancel Your subscription at least thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of the subscription."

That basically sounds like they are saying that you have to give them 30 days notice. Meaning if I cancelled today, they are still going to charge me for next month, since 30 days notice would put me past the next subscription date.

Surely not. That would be downright shady lol

So if I cancel now they're still going to bill me for the next month?  Well I'll hit them with a charge back and never buy from Zenimax or Bethesda again.  F#%k em both.

Wow...that is dirty.    ::shakes her head::   What a crooked company Zenimax/Bethesda is, may have to rethink buying their games in the future.

I'm going to cancel and see what happens.

If they charge me after the fact for a canceled sub then my business with them is done. If not then I will renew.

Started a whole new thread since your previous one was locked huh OP?  Sorry for the double post indeed.  Interesting that you, who I have seen bash ESO endlessly on these forums, are the one who keeps posting these threads spreading misinformation.  No free time is lost - that is 100% false.

Someone let me know what happens on May 4th (be with you). I'm waiting for them to fix the bugs and the crowds to depart from the starter zones before I purchase, although I am still on the fence anyway but this might push me off if it's true.

You know what, I dont know what to believe. I set up my sub on saturday, the $14.99 funds authorization hold sat in my pending transactions til today, which now has moved over to my withdrawals list. They charged me and I have'nt even cancelled yet. I am now waiting to hear back from my support ticket and I am starting to think it isn't going to be soon.

    What came before that section..

"You may choose automatic renewal of Your subscription. If You choose this option, You have agreed to permit Bethesda to automatically charge Your credit card, bank card, debit card or other Payment Method associated with Your Account for an automatic renewal of Your current subscription preferences to the applicable Service. You may cancel at any time by revising Your selection in Your Accounts page, or contacting Customer Services at support.bethsoft.com. In order to sign up for automatic renewal, You must keep a valid credit card number or other Payment Method number or information associated with Your Account. Your subscription will automatically renew on the expiration date of the then-current subscription term that You previously subscribed to, at a fee no greater than Bethesda’s then-current price at the time of renewal, excluding any promotional and discount pricing, unless You cancel Your subscription. If You have subscribed for an automatic subscription renewal."

IS there another option besides automatic renewal?

Or people like you are making a big deal over a non-issue.  Don't worry they don't need your money.  If you cancel you won't get charge.  Seems like the same 4-5 people are saying the same exact thing over and over again.

Someone in another thread said they go the whole way with the transaction and then do a chargeback. If that's the case, it's... well, dumb and really inefficient, but not as shady as we are thinking.

I'm betting on them just being really inefficient. They did this with their game downloads too- I had to download 30 gigs worth of game, then the same 30 gigs again for an update. -_-' Efficiency doesn't seem to be Zenimax's thing =D
