Something with warlock/necromancer/evil mage for class

Ralphie2449Ralphie2449 Member UncommonPosts: 577

Know any GOOD games that have classes similar to warlock/necromancer/evil mage? Something with probably dots, painful dark spells, maybe undead minions.

With just these parameters.

Somewhat good pvp that isnt completely ignored TSW style.

Good graphics and not a low budget f2p game.

Not wow

    TSW's long forgotten brother,

    Age of conan, has a demonologist and necromancer, PvP has also been getting a lot of attention recently.

    Rift is the only other I can think of with Warlock/Necro souls. Plays very much like a WoW Warlock.

    Aesthetics =/= Graphics. Just saying.

    Bone Dancer from DAOC

    Dots, painful dark spells, and undead minions  --  Check

    Good PvP  --  Check

    Not WoW  --  Check

    Good graphics  -- hmmm well 3 out of 4 isn't bad. Honestly the graphics were great in its day, but look very tired now.

    I would also say that it is hard to make a proper recommendation with out a clear understanding of what you consider "good games'.

    While I don't agree the long forgotten TSW part, my first thought was also AoC's reanimation necro. "Something with probably dots, painful dark spells, maybe undead minions." yep, that's him. :) and the NF line has some nasty spells too, if I remember right, haven't played my necro since more than a year.

    So old? Depends... it's only 6 years, and still looking great, the engine is holding up nicely. Also it's pretty much alive, I think.

    Sounds like EQ2 would be your best bet. PVP is not completely ignored but it's also not as great as it once was
