PVE server experiment Dayz Epoch.

I got burnt out a while ago on the "deathmatch kill everyone steal everything" style of basic Dayz, as always my main issue with the killing of fellow survivors on Dayz is there is no real responsibility or consequence, which is fine but I want to try something different.

Building on a base Dayz Epoch server (rented 60 slot) with enhanced mods listed at the bottom of this post, mindless pvp will get you kicked, griefing and hacking wil get you kicked, working together will be rewarded.

For this to work though a base level of mods is only the start, I have hired a scripter to help bring about some nifty changes and ideas, examples include different types of zombies, AI hero and bandits, survivor parties, enemies who will hunt you, hero that will blood bag you if injured or fight the zombies along side.

Expanding on the basic mission system to include choices.

Structured PVP sysyem including Duels, hunts and city wide events with prizes.

The idea being to create a more RPG experience.

Server is now live (Tuesday 15th) if you install the epoch mod and do a search for the server name Deviantedge you will find it.

First iteration of the enhanced scripts will take about a week, think of this as pure beta for awhile, game is playable and the mods already installed make it a fun place to play.

Deploy Bike from a toolbox and scrap metal (right click on toolbox)

Custom building menus --> ruby/Topaz and Obsidian (spawn them through tool and right click on them to build stuff) --> CCTV system with Obsidian

Part of the system we are thinking of implimenting will mean hero characters will be decided by there actions both code and admin, someone helps you out, does something amazing let me know.

    whoops. you are up and running, my apologies. im currently US Petunia ...it's got a great ruleset for me i think.

     

    however, i would still like to check your server out.

    ive called your server up a few times in DayZCommander, but it always shows 0 players.

     

    im sure it's really tough with what ... hundreds? thousands? of servers? i would be curious to know how you think your scripting, world building (in the mod sense), and gameplay have been panning out in general.
