XBOX 360 +FFXI

in Final Fantasy XI
So sweet XBOX 360 is gonna have FFXI with completely updated graphics! Seriously thats gonna be sweet, Im stoked. Finally Square-Enix games on XBOX. I cant wait for this christmas lol

    I cant wait either! Before this even thing ends, Im going to make sure to activate my FFXI account (they are having an event where they are unlocking old accounts that got shut down)

    i play on australian servers because racism is acceptable there

    I just hope it doesnt have additional fees on top of the Live subscription like Phantasy Star Online does

    Im gonna play this on PC lol, but I love the fact how it's going to draw in ALOT of new players.

    i play on australian servers because racism is acceptable there

    I doubt FFXI will draw anymore attention, unless theres some kind of why to pay for the game without using a credit card or using XBOX Live to connect and play for free, which I highly doubt.

    Yea I agree. FF11 lost a lot of players when the slim ps2 came out so i hope we get just as many back.

    I strongly disagree Stronglady. The graphics are going to get a complete overhaul and released simultaneously with the Xbox 360 and I think xbox live and playonline will be working closely together so Im sure you will be able to subscribe in an easy fashion using the 360. I think this will draw a TON of new subscribers including me whos only complaint with the game is the somewhat outdated graphical look of the game. Although i think everything is designed just right, it sorely lacks anti-aliasing and some of the more polishing effects todays hardware can bring to the table that the PS2 simply could not. I am excited for the future of this game and Ill be playing this christmas! imageimageimage

    Live is free on Xbox 360... you can pay for the gold service, but to get the use of MMOs or to download content you just need the Silver package that every 360 comes with for free.

    bah, I wasn't planning on getting an xbox but I guess I have to now.FFXI with new graphics?Count me in!

    it's really a win win situation... you can use the X360 as a HD Media Extender for your computer as well as a gaming console.

    Ive read that the graphics are NOT being updated, that the game will be the same as we play now. FFXI is in desperate need of some updating. The UI is awkward at best and it looks Very outdated. The game would benefit from more control customization options. I had hoped that the move to the 360 would have resolved some of these isssues, but it doesnt look like it will.

    There are requirments for having a game on the Xbox 360... they would have to update the thing at least some

    actually the graphics on the 360 do look better then the pc version and the ps2 version but the game itself yea the same graphics just look a bit better then the pc

    I wonder if it's going to be free(probably notimage) because I heard they're going to have free xbox live support for the 360 but you can pay for a premium account.

    Even if they just add anti-aliasing this will make a huge difference in how the game looks. But I too have read that they arent gonna add anything new, time will tell but if it doesnt look better than it does on my pc I'm not getting an xbox 360. Its a beautiful game the only thing holding me back is the outdated grainy look of the graphics. I hope xbox and square-enix dont think Im gonna shell out 400 bucks if they aint gonna make it look good enough for the 360. Time will tellimage
