Does your Posting go in Cycles..

KrimzinKrimzin Member UncommonPosts: 687

Im not sure about anyone else, but for me when Im in between games I post like crazy. When Im entrenched in a game, I only post during downtime or not at all.

LIke Now. I have absolutely nothing to play until the Beta Weekend tomorrow with Wildstar.

Because of this, my post count has gone up and my stars have climbed from 3 to 4+ in the matter of a couple weeks.

What about you?

I go through cycles but not due to gaming habits. I find that the forums have gone stagnant. No new topics are posted anymore. Just revisions of old topics. A lot of this stems from people's low opinion of current MMO's. Basically MMORPG.com's forums have turned into this:

-a guy who thinks F2P and 4 player games are the best, and 4 player games are MMO's

    -people complaining about F2P

-people complaining about themeparks/games being to linear

-people complaining that not all games are made the exact same (yet the same people want a game that is "different").

-people rehashing the same topics over and over

It's been a tiny bit better as of late, which is why I've been on here a bit more. But I am sure it'll get back to where it was after wildstar releases.

The reason my posting activity goes in cycles is because it's more or less frequently interrupted by bans.

I know exactly what you mean.
If you report any post the writer gets a warning. They don't have the manpower to go through every single report so its automated.

Which is bad because if someone doesn't like my opinion, I get a warning or banned.

You sure it works like that? I thought it had to be reviewed.

BTW, your signature is very odd to me, who assumes gamers drive honda's? I can honestly say I've never heard of that one before. Heck, none of my gamer buddies have a honda either now that I think about it....

I do most of my posting while at work, though EVE provides me with time of course.

Its a old joke from a WoW Guild I was in. They had a thread of what cars everyone drove and someone said, "don't all Gamers drive Honda's" So it just kinda stuck.

I tend to post on my days off. I dedicate about an hour a day for forums/news/youtube. Then I'll check sporadically if there was an interesting topic being discussed.

I also post at work. I'm on the site every day but sometimes nobody's talking about anything

Got acces to the internet everywhere, phone, laptop, tablet, work.

Now I don't have acces to my gaming system everywhere. With or even without a game to play it would make no difference for me.

Ya I am at work now. Nothing to play so I surf the forums. Now tomorrow will be a different story, Wildstar Beta starts at 7am PST, I will be logging on the second I get to work and doubt I will even be on the forums til Monday.

Post mostly at work when stuck in boring meetings or conference calls. Gave up on this site a bit back because of the horrible moderation but decided to give it another go a few weeks back. Probably get banned for something dumb again and take another break...

I have a laptop sitting next to my computer that I keep wikis and forums open on so depending on the game and how slow it is or how often I look something up is how frequent I post.
