First, If WOW left you bored , then Guild wars probably is not for you unless you really like the PvP parts of GW (I don't so perhaps someone else can tell more)

Lineage 2 is a good choice but I really wonder if you will stay happy with it for any longer than WOW.

As much as I dislike SOE perhaps EQ2 would work..I do no play it so I cannot vouch for it's content, but a lot of people have told me that the crafting and play is a little deeper than WOW.

Only other game that I know of that may hold your intrest is EVE ONLINE but it is getting a little old also, but has a great economy system

    Good luck finding a game

Witty saying to amuse you goes here.

And you want to defeat boredom by playing the most boring game out there?(Lineage 2)

This game in Korean was called: "Kill a spider, sit down, kill another spider.............opsss I got killed by an uber 12 years old with a character much higher than mine that bought the uber equipment from IGE by stealing his dad credit card.............loop...........Kill a spider, sit down, kill a spider..............opsss.............)

The name was too long for the western market, so they just rename it Lineage 2.

If you want to play this game, go on, but just to let you know, there is no fun involved in it ::::20::

I can recommend The Saga of Ryzom and Eve Online. SoR is fantasy and Eve sci-fi. I wrote longer description about SoR to ratings but it turned out bit unreadable as all newlines disappeared. Both cames have 14 day free trial, so you can judge it out yourlself.

Well even though Lineage 2 did bore me, I wouldn't say it is boring for everyone. Lineage is about building huge Clans/Guilds whatever you call them and engage into massive battles against other clans or against gigantic raid bosses.

The endgame content of Lineage is so utterly difficult that you need hundreds of players to succeed. And I wouldn't say hundreds if I didn't mean it ;)

If you look for a game that has a veeeeery long time to level and get better in, then Lineage 2 is for you. This game needs a lot of commitment and you won't see someone level from 1-60 in a few weeks. This game takes forever and you need to be prepared for the grind.

Guildwars is the exact opposite but the pro with it is that you can play GW like an offline game:
you can play it, leave it for some days/weeks and play it again without having to fear that your clannies are way ahead of you. It's a hop in and have fun game but you can also dedicate a lot of time to iron out what skills work best in what situation or even go hunting for elite skills that are somewhere out there and need to be captured from bossmonsters.
    And the best is:
you could play any MMORPG plus GW as Guildwars doesn't eat up all your time nor does it push you to play it because of monthly fees.

    As for other candidates:

EQ2: does take long to level, is best played in groups. slower paced than WoW, more serious setting.

EVE Online: if you like space games. Slowly paced. Focus on a great player driven economy. Is something for the crafter/trader type of player.

Starwars Galaxies: slowly paced but with skill based system that is giving a lot of freedom as to character customization but it takes a bit away the sense of fun in leveling. In SWG you rather want to gain master level in your profession than simply getting better by leveling. Thus the fun really starts when you are master and not on your way to it.
It also features a great economy/crafting system that really works (crafter only professions are viable)

all three are not for the casual gamer I am afraid ;)
