If things continue to be this rough for the next week, they most likely will give us a few days free time.
I don't really care, but it would be a nice gesture on their part. Five free days is worth like $2.50, lol, that's an amount I'd probably not even notice if it fell out of my jeans pocket...
I am getting quite bored of all the prime time downtime. I know it is based in the US, but it is a huge concern with a lot of players, and they really CAN afford to have people working out-of-hours on the EU servers.
However, this time I believe it was emergency due to guild store issues, so that I don't mind.
Nope not due to guild store - they just disabled that.
This is something else entirely, they wouldn't bring down the whole Megaserver during EU primetime.
Shame they have another weekend primetime outage (was US Megaserver last time, but it was on Sat night) - seems like they are having stability under load issues that they can't get worked out.
hmm, wonder what it is. BTW they regularly bring down the EU mega-server during EU primetime for routine maintenance because it suits the US working day- it is a little irritating.
I play on the EU server, and this is just not my experience at all. Sure it's happened a few times, and it's irritating when it does, but it's not like it's every few days. There's hiccups, but they'll sort it out. :-)

Odd, you guys have had a hugely different (but yet it must be the same) experience to me. I have come home from work several times since early access, logged on and found the server down. The maintenance always happens late afternoon BST- always.
Yes it may only be one or two days a week, but that is one or two days when they could be doing maintenance in the EU morning while the vast majority of the player base are at work, but instead schedule it for prime time. It annoys me slightly that people are prepared to put up with it because it is just dreadful customer service.
Perhaps you have more free time than me, or play different hours?
One problem being .. Shift workers, there's plenty of em were I live so no matter when you take the server down, one crowd gets screwed.
But regardless of where you are there is always a prime-time. Better to screw over the few rather than the many. Taking entertainment offline during prime time is a bit silly.

Where i am .. shifty, umm, shift workers = many. My prime time is non existant as i have sleep problems, 9-5 workers, well they have 7-9 roughly i guess but then it all depends on country. Problem with a Mega Server, which EU timeline will it be set to? It's definatly going to be running off one. I'm guessing not GMT/BST

Sorry to hear it, but prime time is a fact, not an opinion. Most people work 9-5 and the evening IS prime time. You might be part of the minority, but it IS prime time.

Server went down while loading out from The Harborage. Now I run around like this :-P
