“Games have a lot of issues when they first get released so we have to prioritize which ones to fix and this duplication glitch seemed to be minor,” explained Dunham, “From what I understand, some glitches can be fun. It’s actually par for the course when it comes to The Elder Scrolls. I just never imagined that it would ruin the economy and make everything worthless. That never crossed my mind at all.”

Does this scare any of the other technical minded folks out there?
There's been 15+ years of duping in MMORPGs. ESO is a big production. How can someone who has the title "Technical Director" not know this?
(Please keep it civil. I know this can be flamed hard, but I want to hear from the more rational members of the community.)

I chose the Xfinity speed test because it does not reveal my ISP.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Incompetence doesn't even describe this. Not even close. Just don't know what to say on this really.
A dupe exploit like this was a "minor bug" in their eyes? The OP's titel is spot on!
"Are they for real???"
I am speechless.
Guess I did the right thing to cancel my sub and get away. That guy just scares me! Being in charge on such a Critical position!
Stages of a new mmo: 1) It's just beta. It still has plenty of time before release. 2) It just launched. Give it time. WoW wasn't built in a day. 3) We don't need you anyway. 4) F2P announced. 5)Huge influx of players. 6) Look how much has changed. 7) Cash shop is the only thing developed lately. 8) It has been a long journey and we thank everyone who was part of it. Shutting down in 3 months. (Courtesy of Robokapp.)
Sadly, most MMO's tack the economy on as an afterthought, not as an integral part of the game system from day 1. As a result, they don't understand that some people actually enjoy crafting and selling things MORE than hacking critters to bits with shiny swords.
I am sorry, but a dupe exploit like this. Even a Complete noob can see that is not a "Minor bug", when you can outright duplicate stuff endlessly.
They either are completely clueless about Online games, or I am getting seriously scared now about what kind of "Major bugs" are currently in this game that are even worse than this?
Let's just say I am glad I did not put my credit card info in their system and extremely glad I used the PayPal option.
I Guess the Open SSL "heartbleed" Security exploit is also on their "Minor bug" list to be fixed somewhere in the coming months. /shrug
Is that Daffy or Donald ? :P
I ask because Daffy is despicable and a member of the Horde while Donald is the good guy a member of the Alliance .
I don't think Doom is in the games list, albeit a great game of legends past. :P
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
LOLOLOL.
omg that's priceless

Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?
Mom: We don't talk to Priests.
As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
There is no relief sadly. The exploit existed since Beta and People have been exploiting it since launch.
The fact, that Zenimax takes the same "wipe under the carpet" approach as Cryptic did with Neverwinter. They only did it for one day... bla bla bla.
They have to say it, as they can't possible rollback the game two weeks and wipe everyone progress. So lying and wiping the problem under the carpet is the "usual" approach! /facepalm
Tho due to the severity of the exploit. It's either that or ban so many accounts, that there won't be many active accounts left anyway.
Good Luck.
