They are either too cheap, too stupid, or too ambivalent to give a rat's ass how bad the situation has really become.

I want this game to succeed so bad,  but the problem is the same problem we always have.

This fricken generation of imbecile gamers, the " Josie and the Pussycat " gamers, this bunch of lemmings that have NEVER had an original thought and are like " OMG this is the best game ever, and red is the new pink!! "

They flock in to new games by the thousands like a swarm of locusts, not to play the game, or earn their gear, status or rewards, but rather to pay some gold seller for the best gear, pay some power leveler to level cap them, pay some vampire or werewolf to bite them. Cheat, exploit, and dupe.  Just so they can epeen around for a month bragging about how awesome they are.

At the end of the month they all start whining how bored they are, how there is no end game content, and how much the game they never played in the first place sucks.

Then after destroying the game economy by botting, exploiting, duping, and or whatever else they can think of to leave mass destruction in their wake they flock to the new game and begin the cycle all over again.

And the really F'd up part of it all is because there are so many of them and because they are all a bunch of seagulls all mocking whatever the first one squaks they are the ones the stupid ass game developers are listening to.

It's moronic and I am so freaking fed up with it.

I swear to God its like a bunch of freakin drones, what the hell ever happened to the free thinkers, the dreamers, the passion, and the creativity.  How did so many people lose their freakin souls.

Pretty spot on although I've been seeing this since I started MMO's in 02, these people have always been there, those willing to piss away 100's to 1000's of dollars buying accounts on EBay are just one example. I bet those who did so purchasing Jedi, only to turn around and see the CU and NGE learned a valuable lesson.

AS for GM's, they'd need an army of GM's to be effective if they had them... those they did hire would be too busy with requests regarding bugs to deal with bots. Not to trash the game or anything I'm just saying there's a lot more going on right now than a bot problem.

Megaserver means they're constantly in your face.  No matter how crowded or sparse an individual instance of a zone/delve/dungeon is, your chances of running into bots is exponentially higher than it would be on normal split servers.

Then you havent played WOW recently, they have the same problem with swarming bots. Since the release of free lvl 90, Black Temple, Naxx is swarmed by farming bots.

Source for information: eu.battle.net.  forums/gameplay/general/black temple swarmed by bots

And you havent tried GW2 either, PCGamer wrote an article on the subject in dec 2012: " ArenaNet banned over 34 000  Guild Wars 2 bots in november"

The article is about swarming bots.
