the groupscaling. IMO it's one of the best features of GW2. You dont have to worry about overleveling your friends.
The ambience. The World feels more alive than just about any other mmo. The cows actually goes moo and the dogs are barking and chickens goes cluck and so on. The top layer is so well polished, i just wish the base was a bit more solid.
Ofc there's stuff i miss from other games when i play GW2, but that wasn't the question.
I keep coming back to GW2, too. I've played through the last few AAA mmorpgs alphas and betas and launches, but I don't tend to stick around. I'm not a die-hard GW2 fan. In fact, I want something new to come along and lure me away, but nothing has, yet.
GW2 has become my old faithful...I was running around with a new mesmer yesterday and had to stop and look around. The game just looks good. The cities are especially dense and detailed. It feels a little more lived-in I guess.
I also spent a few minutes on an 80 (100%'ing my maps), and some people needed help with some champ. There were about twenty players, and we ALL took a good thumping, even though the zone was for 25-30, and had fun beating down the champ. People were talking and we had a little dance party afterward. Good times.

I love being able to go into lower level zones with my 80 and help not as a one-shotter but as a fellow lvl whatever player. I think they set up GW2 to be much more focused on player interaction and teamwork in PvE than many other MMOs I've played. It's one of the best communities in terms of chat and help. I like how you can run up and help someone who's struggling and instead of taking their credit, they get theirs and you get yours. The map exploration is a neat element as well IMO.
There was only one expansion in GW1 (GWEN), others were stand-alone. And PvP in Guild Wars 2 is maybe the only competitive one on the market. No farm to get a stuff, just skills and theorycrafting.
And what I would miss in other MMOs is the feeling that you really play your character. You control him entirely. He is an extension of what you want to do in the game.

Those overgrown house pets wouldn't know a magiphysical armature if it rotated across their ugly faces.
Playing other games the thing i miss most is :
