looking for a space MMO

as the title say, i'm looking for a new space based MMO, with a strong element of PVE space combat (humanoid based action is ok, not really required) which is not one of the following:

EVE: i liked the game alot back when i played it, but the paranoid atmosphere by the player base, forced pvp (if i wanted to get myself anywhere), small and tyranical approach by just about every ORG,  and grief i endured at the hands of less the savory characters in that game turned me off that game.

STO: was ok for a while, but got too repeatative, and again i encountered a few unsavory behaviors that simply turned me off the game (also, Arc, i won't let my computer be touched by that thing)

SWTOR: held my interest for a bit but the space based elements are too repeatative and/OR pvp centric for my tastes.

Boneserino

Well if you are just looking for some fun PvE gaming in a space setting, I will suggest Earth and Beyond.  Its a bit dated in the graphics department but the PvE combat is good and the community is excellent although obviously small.

 

Its free to play so nothing to lose by giving it a look.

You do realize that MMOs are based upon "repetitive" tasks, right?  It's going to be hard to find any MMO that you find something entirely unique to do every time you log on.

I came across this on desura the other day http://www.thespacegame.com/index.html but haven't tried it yet myself to comment.  Taikodom is in open beta i think and you could try that out.

Give Vendetta Online a try.  PvP is relatively easy to avoid, if you want to.
