Getting close to that 4-6 week content update promise, What do you think they are planning for the First update? What would you like to see most in the first or second update? What would you add?
For me, my list in order is"
1. Housing
2. Jewelry Crafting
3. Horse racing like FFXI chocobo deliverys! (Where you had to race from one nation stables to another nation stables on the entire other side of the game world.
4. Gambling - Some form of gold gambling or lotto just like in FFXI Mog Bonanza!
5. More pets and trophy's, hopefully some for a house!
6. An Inverview with Lawrence Schick (The Wizard) and the dev team on their thoughts behind the stories and lore work they did on ESO.
7. News on the upcoming Update. (yes, I had to put this in here so they remember to talk to us once in a while.)
Lets see your lists.

QFT... fix whats broke and delay any content patches otherwise there will be nobody playing later to enjoy the content.
We all can only be who we are Nothing more nothing less.
I'm pretty sure they can do both, after all they already came out with the second adventure zone. The people who work on the bugs are people who probably wrote the code, doesn't mean they don't have other teams that can do the update. So lets see that list. I could care less about bugs, they promised a update and I'll be expecting one.
If it helps, close your eyes and imagine a world without bugs, and what you would love to see in it. listen to this song from willy wonka if it helps to make that list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2pt2-F2j2g
Your list just about covers it
I would just add furniture making if wish # 1 came true.
Less bots in dungeons. No really. I am lvl 10 and the two I can do (solo ones) had .. you wont believe me at least 40+ this is both. They are all around some NPC that spawns.
I could not get the achievement. Nor could I do the place.
Also cut the drop rate. I get so many its not even fun. I wont to WORK for it. I dont care about some house.
A chat where people TALK!
Are they even in a position to look at content right now?
I'm thinking it's taking everything they have got just to keep their heads above water right now.
Game needs fixing before any new content updates. More content will mean more bugs to an already buggy game, makes no sense. They need to delay all content until we have a bug free experience at least gameplay-wise. There will always be bugs but at least bugs that don't impact gameplay.
I hope they start introducing contested zones in the future where we can actually pvp in them. Relying on Cyrodiil to pvp only seems such a waste. Questing in Cyrodiil is actually FUN as that place is really dangerous. Questing outside Cyrodiil is just BORING , 60 levels of boringness through and through. I enjoy the story but its boring to play, might aswell just watch a good movie. Games are meant to be fun, ESO skipped that part.
Other than that I see great things for this game if they actually fix it.
I don't have a problem with the list you have suggested but I think they have already hinted at what they intend to release in content updates in the AMA on reddit.
The first release is going to be veteran content with the adventure zone Craglorn. They have said that they are also looking at including a Thieves Guild and Assassin's Guild and that they are looking at including more skill lines and have hinted at more healing skills for all of the classes.
Not sure if this was in the AMA but I think they have also said somewhere that they intend to release a few more adventure zones in the future as well.
Hmm.. not in any particular order
Housing and furniture/accessories that spread across all crafting professions
Dueling, added by way of an in-game arena, which you can view and gamble on
Jewelcrafting, so I can stop making jewel enchants that I can't actually use
Thieves Guild, introducing lockpicking passives and more difficult chest locks
Justice system, so you can't just steal from everyone without punishment, similar to single player RPG's
A Title system that works in tandem with the Justice system, similar to UO's fame and karma system
Dark Brotherhood, full of assassination quests and focusing on stealth play
Necromancy, so we can all make our necromancers and death knights and summon undead
Veteran rank crafting skills and passives, which extend beyond the crafting level cap
Crafting quests, which reward you with materials, gold, and recipes, from 1 to 50+
A REVERT TO A SINGLE GUILD STRUCTURE AND ADDITION OF LOCALIZED AUCTION HOUSES
Yeah, and all of the game breaking security issues can be fixed too...
I actually noticed, looking at all of the templar skills and morphs, that there isn't a single skill that heals you through damage. There are a few small heals, but they either heal other people, or they are hard cast aoe heals. Give me a small self heal and give me few damage dealing skills that morph to add a healing property to it. I mean, I"M A DAMN TEMPLAR! I should have an attack that heals, hell, every other class has one.
Fact is the game is buggy mess in fact its one of worst to come in a long time. Housing is months away if not longer, the game needs fixing. Perhaps the devs need to listen to that song.
1. Optional working chat bubbles (not the half-assed Simple Chat Bubbles bullshit).
2. Dueling. With the ability to have group duels and guild duels. Also an option to auto-decline/block duel requests.
3. A way to preview what items look like on your character.
4. Proper LODs and an option to remove shitty pea-soup distance fog.
5. Instanced guild neighborhoods a la LOTRO with storage space and housing with the customisability of Rift/SWG/Vanguard houses.
6. Theft and murder crime system.
7. Cosmetic outfit system whereby you can take any outfit you are waring and convert it into a costume/disguise that can be worn over w/e else you own, thereby destroying the items that make up the costume itself. Maybe add an NPC or have a Clothier NPC do this for a fee depending on item level/worth.
8. Plastic Surgeon a la Skyrim's face-changer.
9. Polearms
10. Crossbows
11. Cloaks
12. Mentor system.
13. Craglorn I guess.
1) Necromancer skill line. The bad guys can do it, and the good guys had to start doing it some time!
2) That's all I want.
Before people blathering on about The Lore rant that Necromancy was forbidden, yadda, yadda - The Lore, like real-life history - is not 100% true. Some things are conveniently not recorded and are hushed up to avoid upsetting the general populace or because research is carried out in deepest secret to avoid alerting the enemy. You can bet that when Mannimarco and his followers started using Necromancy the Mages Guild would have been researching the subject intensely, with a view to fighting fire with fire.
for me, the main thing has already been mentioned. but i'll mention it again incase the devs actualy read these boards.
GET RID OF THE BOTS IN THE DUNGEONS
go into a dungeon and make your way down to the boss, and what do you find? bloody bots. mob pops and bang, off they go. you dont even get the chance to blink before the boss is dead.
and it's not just the boss either. i've been in some dungeons and found a couple of bots just picking off the regular spawns.
come on folks, you pay for the game so play the game. you dont buy tickets for an orgy and send in a battery in your place do you? so why pay to play a game and let a computer play for you?
also, do something about the spam, and the post spam as well. log in, dont even get to say hi to anyone and up pops the spam and not just in chat. it's there in the mail as well. come on, do something about the fact that they get your username as soon as you log into the game so they can send you post. if they can get it in game, they can use it out of game.
make it so they can not see who has logged on unless that person is on a friends list. dont make it so they can just see every tom, dick and harriette who logs in.
get rid of the bots and spam and peoples enjoyment of the game will be even higher than it is
i look this wrecked because i've got GIST.
Whats your excuse?

Don't normally ask them to hold off on content, but I hope they don't add Craglorn in this update. There is too much for them to fix.
Not because I have a problem with what is currently broken, there are work arounds and they are fixing it, but I don't want to play Craglorn in a broken state like I have had to do for the current game.
There are bugs and exploits in the game with where reported in the beta. They have show they are not capible of dealing with economy breaking exploits and create an expension at the same time. Beside that I think they need to make grouping more usefull in the whole level range. I am a solo player, but it seems silly poeple can not play together.
The bulk of the first content update will be Craglorn, which needs to be there to keep the Vet ranks entertained.
Beyond that, I'd honestly prefer if they kept it to a minimum, unless the patches and fixes between now and then have brought a significant improvement in overall playability (icluding bot removal...). Let's get things running reliably before adding too many new features, because those new features will inevitably come with their own set of teething troubles...
These two should definitely be in the top ten, the crafting quests would make a great addition to this game.
i'd like to see some player housing
all other mmo's have it....and guess why....cause its fun to have your own lil place....
one day they might....
This right here. I can't recall and mmorpg here in the west, that has launched with more things to do.
My list -
Fix the Cyrodiil stuck in combat bug!
Keep working on lessening the crashes, getting better but 1 time is too many.
Buff NB siphoning!
Bane of mmorpgs.
People wishing housing as "content".
Anything is better content than housing.
WTF IS THE THING WITH HOUSING!?
Would you actually want HOUSING over new zones, new skills, new items, new dungeons, new pvp modes, bug fixes!!?
If you really want HOUSING you are SoOoOOOoOOooOoOOOO wrong.
Siiiiiigh.
I'd like to agree with whomever said cloaks. It was a very popular Skyrim mod. Crossbows I also agree with. And finally, Polearms.
Freaking Polearms! POLEARMS! One of the most annoying things with the Templar class, has to be the creation of the Aedric Spear line, that is spear/polearm based. Yet, THERE ARE NO SPEARS IN THE GAME. Anyone notice how stupid it is to be carrying a sword and shield, then you activate an Aedric Spear attack, and a spear appears out of thin air? Oh, then whe the attack is done, your sword and shield are back in your hands. How freaking stupid is that?
That skill line should have simply been a holy melee damage skill line. That is a failure in design. I purposely avoid using that skill line because it completely destroys my immersion. Magic is one thing, and a conjured weapon is another, but for weapons to form out of my ass, while I'm already using a different weapon, literally doesn't make any sense to me OR the character that's doing it. I already have a preferred weapon, why would I weave a completely different one out of thin air?
Makes no sense.
