Enjoy your new stay, in what ever game you want to believe in...

I allways think it is very awkward that the small minority that allways leaves any game after a few weeks of play makes enough Hullabaloo to make innocent bystanders believe it is a mass excodus..

And as with all other games before, i guess we will see you back in about a year, so you can proclaim then how good the game actually is and how much it got improved over the months... unless you dont like story based questing in which case you should stay as far away from the game as possible..

Most of you where obviously not up to an oldfashioned MMO release...

As for now, i am still enjoying every minute i play, so i might even see you back when you return

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Even though I haven't said it yet, i'm not subbing either. At least not for now. It has nothing to do with the game. I'm actually enjoying it. My problem is that all of my friends have quit. That's really what makes a game fun for me. At least when it comes to MMOs. Makes me sad as well, but it's just not entertaining if my friends aren't playing.

Sure, once it goes F2P, big influx of praise much like SWTOR I suppose.

I stopped playing last week. Not because it's a bad game, the game is pretty good. Just not for me, wish it was though I'm sick of waiting for a game that sticks to me.

Hehe, that's probably pretty accurate. The F2P gamer segment is huge these days.

I too hope people find a new home they enjoy. I've been in MMO no man's land before, it be dark times, yes indeed :p

Is that a fact? because the past MMO's release suggest otherwise.

This is a pure bait thread by the way. And won't end well.

Wait for the figures, its very possible it could be substantially more than a "small minority" of people who will not sub to continue playing.

Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy :)

In the future don't hype yourself out is my best advice...

I knew nothing about this game, didn't play the beta, didn't over hype myself, didn't envision all these things i think it would be like, didn't look forward to it at all tbh and only picked it up at the last minute on my kids request to play with them. They have already stopped playing and i'm enjoying the chit out of this game atm.

I actually love ESO, which is why I will not unsub for the first month, but I also most likely won't be playing very much.

I'm close to reaching VR1, and seeing what lies ahead for the Veteran Rank grind, I am in no way inspired to keep going. Endgame shouldn't be doing 300+ hours of leveling. If VR content was all Craglorn, that would be one thing, but as it stands now I have no ambition to just rinse and repeat questing in a different starting area.

What I am doing with Archeage :) even though I could've played on the RU servers I opted to wait for the EU option for the vastly different experience.

Is there any point to this thread? Other then bait and trolling? If you are enjoying it so much why don't you just play it. If you want to promote it, make some good gameplay videos or stream it. I don't get what you see in this game but if do enjoy, have fun. It's not like anyone is making you leave the game. As for people leaving I understand it. I also don't think it's as little amount of people you are saying. Wait till another big release game and the rest will jump ship. Heck I think archage would ruin it and it's f2p to top it off.
    Good lucks and have fun.

Probably to try to balance out the 10 or so people and their alt accounts from repeatedly trash talking the game would be my guess. Gotta fight fire with fire I assume!

Haha i know how you feel, and i'm thinking this is that one for me, hits allot of bullet points for me, not perfect but a truck load better than anything else atm. The funny thing is i avoided this game like the plague i was sure it was another disgusting cash cow wow clone, lol.

A lot of people was expecting a WoW version of Elder Scrolls, they where wrong, so probably we will find them playing Wildstar or WoW once again.

The strongh point of ESO is the PvP and it worth the sub even when the PvE still need really a lot of work.

  • JacobinJacobin Member RarePosts: 1,009
Not like it matters if people leave, 95% of the content is solo quest grinding.

So when people who don't like the game make bait / troll threads they are castigated, called out as haters and reported to the mods.

But if you like the game then making bait / troll threads is fine.

    Interesting....

I dunno if hat really is so bad, a lot of people don't bother to research and buy any game hoping that it will be their type of game.

All MMOs will get a drop a few weeks after release and I don't see a problem with that. The problem starts if the game continues to shrink after that instead of gaining players or at least be stable on an acceptable level of players.

With ESO things are still hard to say until we got any official number anyways, and a lot have to do with how fast Zenimax can fix the issues it launched with. If the game still is P2P a year from now at least I would call it a success.

Yeah, I screwed up thinking the character progression/building and combat would over shadow my distaste for questing...man I was wrong.  Definitely my fault for thinking I could tolerate no risk vs reward, limited freedom and non stop questing.  Although I wouldn't call this game old anything.  It's new school endless quest grinding/running chores for NPC's...how thrilling.

    How do you know that?

Here is an intersting that i noticed while watching videos and reading what players have to say on internet and forums. Hardly anyone wanted it to be more like WOW. In fact people wanted it to be more like Elder Scroll.

Saying 'a lot' of people wanted a WOW version of Elder Scroll is being dis honest and to be frank you got it all backwards.

Only release as bad as this one was FF14 1.0.

SWG wasn't this bad, WoW wasn't this bad, DAoC wasn't this bad, SWTOR wasn't this bad, TERA wasn't this bad. I could go on all day long but you get the idea.

Why do you come off kinda as hurt by the fact people are leaving this train wreck of a game?

It's not like it effects you at all, please continue to enjoy ESO until they A Realm Reborn it, which they will have to do after you're one of the handful of players left.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's admirable you'd stick this long, I did that for FF14, but I already did it once, not going to do it again.  I lived through a game's 1.0 - into playable game, don't wanna do that again.

Honestly when I bought this game my expectation was that I would not play it after the first month. I don't think I can ever play this type of game again in the same way that I used to play WoW, and I'm not looking for a "home". ESO has some fun aspects to it but nothing that would keep me playing over a long period of time. If I could I would like to play it like Skyrim. Its fun to revisit that game for a few hours ever 3 or 4 months but I wouldn't pay another $15 to do that in ESO.

WoW's launch was way worse than this. Dunno if you have selective memory or something but I ended up with over 30 free days of play time due to down time and bugs when WoW launched.
