Laydown of What the Classes Look Like aka AESTHETICS

For me a huge part of choosing which class to play is simply what the hell they look like.  Given the fact I will be starring at this fictional character for hour upon hour it does play a role in deciding.  Plan on playing a tank, and it comes down to warrior or engineer.  Granted Ill try each of the classes out but with limited time in upcoming BETA weekend can only do so much with the time given.  Is there a website out there that shows what the classes look like later on when geared up.  Do they really even change from the time created to the end?

They do change, especially the classes that wear Heavy Armor (Engineer,Warrior).

You start off the game and for a while don't look like you really have armor other than some plating here and there over clothing. You eventually get power suits down the road.

The other thing to remember is the game has the costume system, so you can use pieces of gear to overwrite the look of your current gear.

Wildstar also has a great costume system and you can look like anything you want, as long as you are not in a PvP zone. You can have many costume sets so you can look like what you want for what ever situation. Party time, have a naked costume. Costumes dont take up inventory space as well. The costumes hold the gear you select for them.

EDIT: Their dye system is very extensive as well.

I love Wildstar's graphics in general, and that is one of the main reasons I am excited about the game.

But the raid gear in that link is vomit inducing.  They took the fun art in the game and made everyone look like some sort of Transformer robot in their armor.  I hope that's just the look for the Mechari--otherwise, *puke* *puke* *puke*...

You know this is a sci fi game right? Every one of those have the sci fi feel to them.

They did go with a chunky and clunky feel to their gear. I have seen Sci-fi looking gear that did have a much better look. But I plan on being in costume most of the time so I am not upset

Just because it is sci-fi doesn't mean everyone has to look like a transformer robot.  Does everyone in Dune look like a Transformer robot?  No.  Does everyone in Star Wars look like a Transformer robot?  Many do, but most don't.  Does everyone in Star Trek look like a Transformer robot? No.

In fact, if you look at the majority of big science fiction licenses, I think that most don't have people looking predominantly like Transformer robots.

The raid gear *IS* vomit-inducing.  I hope they re-think their graphics for gear...  In general, I really love the graphics of Wildstar.
