I wasnt sure where else to write this but i wanted to give props to Grievance. Ive only been here a short time and I must say everything I have seen is very impressive. From the time I got onto teamspeak, I was treated like one of the family, not like "The new guy". I never felt like I had to "Put my time in" before becoming one of the family. There are so many things I can say about this bunch that I dont know where to begin. I am so looking forward to archage release that I cant say it enough. I have a few things id like to highlight that I have seen so far that have really impressed me. 1. The requirements to join Grievance. Its not like we are strict in our application process. Want to game and tired of all the BS that goes on in other guilds? Willing to log into Teamspeak and say hello? If your not a dirt bag, you in.
2. The leadership. The structure and function of the leadership team here is second to none. I still wonder how its done every day when I think about the logistics that must be behind so many things happening every day. When you consider our media outreach and forums and events etc, i can not imagine the time that it took to get it to the well oiled machine that we see today. This brings me to number 3
3. The media is awesome. Our Twitch streams are very professional in my opinion. They come across casual and never condescending. It always seems like a bunch of real friends having a chat but they know what they are talking about or they tell you they dont. I dont see a bunch of fluff coming from the broadcasts. They seem well planned out and they dont stray into the chat trolls that often accompany them.
4. Steel.. One thing that I have learned in my many MMOs that I have played is that a Guild will follow a true leader. I have had one Leader in an Eve alliance many years ago who really brought out the best in the players, when he left the whole thing fell like a deck of cards. Steel really reminded me of that guys but from a more positive standpoint. When i was playing rift i saw the Archage video prior to open beta and you could see Steels excitement over the game. A positive attitude is very contagious and Steel really shows his enthusiasm. I had no doubt at that point I wanted to play this game and this would most likely be my last guild in any game I played.
I just wanted to say thank you guys got all your hard work that goes on behind the scenes that we dont always know about. Thanks for making gaming fun for me again and best wishes to everyone for a smooth launch on Friday. It looks like the wife is going to allow me to get a silver pack and join you.
Steel, I sent a application from GW2 forums too, just so you know. I'll have to read this thread for more info on which servers you guys will be on but I hope I can join in on the fun with you guys.
P.S. I do still play rift also on Wolfbane, which is where your teamspeak players are playing on. So what is their guild called on it?
