Personally i am very happy withthe current leveling speed..... Finally a game that requires effort to level.... On top of that the story based PvE content is of high quallity... So, the more time it takes, the more content there is... And for those people that dont like the actuall content, they will soon move on to other games ( cursing this great game as another failed mmo ). By now everyone must realise this is a game for people that loved the content of SWTOR, TSW, LotRO and the first 20 levels of AoC..
And thats why i dont get the people complaining about to slow leveling. The game is build for eternal leveling, if i understood the devs, there will be no final max level, and they will raise veteran level cap with every new zone thats added... I just love the idea of the veteran levels and zones..
I dont think PvP is meant as a way of leveling, as the developers realise that when people level trough strictly PvP, they will eventually have to run the PvE content at max level to get the needed skillpoints from quests and shards.... Which makes it clear that PvP is not meant to be a way of leveling..
On top of that its allready obvious to me that higher level characters are allready ruining lower level challenge for lower level players in lower level zones.... At an anchor in a level 30 zone, there where five veteran players, ruining it for the other players... Even withouth veteran players, anchors are way to simple for a large bunch of players, to keep thme challenging, they should dynamically scale up as the numbers of players rises. (Also goes for bossencounters in a public dungeon)
The only solution for higher level players ruining low level content, is scaling players down to the content of that zone, much like GW2 did.... Otherwise, higher level will ruin it all in lower level zones.. On top of that, it will keep things somewhat challenging for higher level completionists returning to lower level zones for finishing up content..
i think in a few months, everyone will realise that this is not a PvP game, but another PvE leveling game with tagged on PvP...

Which was what I said months ago when everyone thought it would be RvRvR to rival DAoC, with pve tacked on. You're right, it's a solid PVE experience. Better than ToR and TSW, but not as good as LOTRO in my opinion. I'm also enjoying the slow levelling.
I agree.....The slow leveling speed is GREAT !
- You get to enjoy your zone.
- You get to enjoy your new skills longer, and get to know them better. You have something to look forward too. A good example is : I had to work hard to get my cripple ability for my bow build.
- It proves that the game is rich in content ( slower= more content ). No one ever realizes how little content there actually is in a fast leveling mmos.
- Often developers motives are to get you to end game fast to buy expansion's ( World of Warcraft ).
- Why the hell do ppl feel they have to get to end game fast ?....Do you win ?
Yes, and i am loving it, wished veteran ranks would take even longer.... I am a completionist.... If they added a little more content, veteran levels could last twice as long...
with over 250 hours played, i am VR3..... Nothing wrong with veteran ranks as they are, there is more then enough content (quests) to level on...

Whoa, some people have a lot of time on their hands.
I played to VR3 in 60 hours and was bored out of my mind. To actually play the game 250 hours.. phew..
Then betterstay out of it...
splendidly done quests with voice acting is what makes this game a true elder scrolls game..... And its the best content any mmo till today had, it even outshines lotro, ddo and tsw
its the best advice i cab give anyone, dont like the content of tsw or swtor.... Stay away from this game

As someone who is tired of fetch/kill/deliver quests, ESO's PVE is BORING.
I really like the PVP, it just too bad I cannot get past level 25ish without having to PVE. I canceled my sub and will return only when I can spend the rest of my time in Cryodiil. Forced PVE to level is stupid. Elderscrolls has always been about choice, they screwed that up in this game.
Thats what you get from not reading or listening to quests..
its all about the stories, they are meant to immerse you..intoo the gaming world .... Its still an MMORPG... If you dont like that, switch genres, go play MMOFPS, or just FPS or action adventure games....

Yeah, about that "effort"....no it doesnt. Its like saying watching TV requires "effort"....
"Ive watched TV for 250 hours in past 3 weeks. It was SUCH AN EFFORT!"....riiiiight
I tried too, but after listening to a few dozens quests I just didn't care anymore. The story was meh for me. Again, I really liked the PVP and would sub for that, but once I hit level 20 the leveling basically stopped in pvp since they made the kill quest a daily.
In SWTOR, WOW, RIFT, and others I could level with PVP or group quests, in ESO, not so much. I can't wait until the MMO industry returns to focusing on player interactions not generic story #23 matching with generic quest #126.
