Most people don't know that you can do this in ArcheAge. It's one of those "little" features that brings so much to the Social Realm.

From what I've seen, they have all sorts of instruments, e.g., pianos, lutes, guitars, drums, etc.

LotRO has this. Which isn't to detract from Archeage having it...It just seems to be a little known feature there as well. It was something that was popular to do at first. People even formed cover bands. And, then mostly...players just seemed to be over it.
This is another good example of how Archeage samples the best features from what already exists without technically being all that innovative. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it might just be the games winning factor. That if it was a really cool feature you enjoyed in another MMORPG, that Archeage probably has that feature as well.
It took me about a minute to realize that the blonde "thing" on the piano, in the back, was a mermaid reclining on a settee! LOL
This kind of activity is what keeps some players (like me) playing, long after we have tired of the game.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
