Define "immersion". The game is labelled as medieval-steampunk, hence cars is in fact part of the immersion. At least that's how they are defending the game..
Well that is a good technical defense, but if the end result looks like a salad then I'm not interested. I'm always amazed at how some people just throw shit in because they can. I guess there has to be good examples of bad examples though. oh well
MMORPG players are often like Hobbits: They don't like Adventures
Cashgrab at its finest. It's not even in alpha, it's a RELEASED game that needs translation. Ya'll got gypped. Enjoy your $150 free to play asian MMO #31234.
Its certainly not 'asian mmo #31234". Its better than Aion or TERA for sure.
The people trying to say its not a AAA game are ridiculous too. Its a AAA game and seems pretty well made.
It is, however, a themepark at heart (with sandbox elements) and the actual crafting process is as basic as you can get. It is also a game based on anything worth doing requiring exposure to PvP.
But at least its not the typical WoW clone type of themepark (although enough with the three trees already. I am so sick and tired of three trees)
For all the people that keep posting they are not going to pay for a game that is Free 2 Play.
Remember you get what you pay for.
If you think you will have all the perks, labor points, etc that a paying customer has you are sadly mistaken.
Price of a sub is 15$ - you can sub when ever you want.
Paying 150$ is just silly. All you are buying is the Hype.
If you do a little research on Russian version that was released on 22nd February 2014 - Out of 24 servers that were at Full status, today only 3 are at medium, the rest 21 is at low.
What it means? - Hype has gone down, players left. Game is great if you are in to Ganking, Role Playing and crafting. PvE is mediocore, PvP is all about few FOTM builds. All there's to do is to transport Trade packs from one place to another, which would just make you waste really a lot of your time.
So i don't recoomend anyone to get on this Hype train, and waste your money on a F2P game. You'll regret it, i promise you that.
went exploring the world, and do alot of farming raising my animals. HAHA soo much fun best AAA sandbox i ever seen.
Best $150 i ever paid for founders pack then other mmorpg in the history, I mean wow.
if your an explorer holy crap, its going to blow your socks off. working on building my small boat too.
This sandbox is AMAZING, no bugs!!!!! no gamebreakign bugs, unlike other games haha. Its about time for a AAA sandbox with no bugs, build whatever you want mmorpg. We needed it.
THERE IS SOOOOOO MUCH TO DO IN THIS GAME, i may start up some crafting too.
im blown away by all the features AA has to offer, the best $150 of my life.
Lets see, two posts on here, you're username is the same as the game..you're not a very subtle shill are you? Either that or 1/10 for trolling.
This is where the disconnect with the MMO players happens.
This is also going to be the way fof the future. The whole kickstarter craze is already dead, since no kickstarter game has yet to release and recent kickstarter campaigns have failed miserably.
So now you have companies putting out games that are in "Alpha" phase and charging a fee to get access to that phase. The obvious other game to do this was EQ Landmarks, but I am certain EQ next will also do it to some extent. So whats the difference? Even if it is free to play to start. No different than people who spent top dollar for SWOTOR or ESO and eventually see F2P. But these free to play models might actually be decent. But the 150 comes with a lot of real money 'value'. 75.00 bux (base) worth cash shop credits, some perks and items that will also cost real money, and three months patron status. Which may or may not be 'worth' it. With Rift it is not. But this is technically not a Trion game so it is up in the air on what a patron status will mean in ArcheAge. But in a new game it will definitely have more 'value' than an older game that is transitioning.
But to compare it to those two games you are certainly getting 'more' for your money. because you know going in youre 'buying' a free to play game. But you also know or have some idea of what free to play will mean and how much it might cost. But the credits and the patron status are clearly defined. So right there youre looking at 75.00 for the credits and 38.97 (Rifts 3 month reduced 30 day patron pricing). So thats 114.00 of REAL world 'value'. So that leaves 36 bucks. You will also get with that package 6 chests, 10 crafting stones, 10 teleport stones, and a mount. All of which will cost money in the store. which may actually end up being more than 36 bucks. But would you buy them? Maybe not. But they give you something. So if you do a dollar by dollar comparison you might actually get more 'value' from the 150 bucks up front AND the alpha and beta access and head start than you would waiting and buying things piece by piece. Then you have pet healing potions, a founders cloak, a crest creation mechanic, and some special armor (cosmetic I am sure)
I am not advocating one or the other. I got the email awhile ago but I havent pulled the trigger, but I am inclined to.Even though in Rift I have played long enough to be patron for free for as long as I want and have all those perks with all the in game cash I have accumulated. I am sure AA will be no different eventually, but having the perks as well as getting a first look at it does have a price tag.
I would like to play t for free for a day or two before deciding because if I see what I saw in the other games recently released I wouldnt get it, just like I didnt get them. But I like the concept, and t has all the 'little' things from what I have seen. Farming? Really? Why didnt ESO have that? Or any other RP type things that AA seems to have. When you couple that with on landscape housing, and farms and animals that is an RPers wet dream. that alone is intriguing tomany peopel I am sure.
What they really have to deliver on is the 'meaningful' PvP effects on the world. And the ship fights. And some of the other stuff. But really if they can deliver a portion of what they promise theyre ahead of most MMOs that dont deliver much of any of their promises these days.
I think i would believe the OP more if he told me in broken english that if i click his link i will get amazing free prada shoes.

The $150 package includes 3 months of sub-status, $75 in game credits, and some incidental items for crafting, teleport, and transportation. I wouldn't say the package is just hype. It has some useful value. You're basically paying $30 - $40 for early access.
By comparison both Elite:Dangerous and Star Citizen charge about $300 for a comparable package.
F2P doesn't mean you never spend money or things don't cost. It means "free to play" without a subscription. That's where the term came from - back when most every game required a sub payment to even access the servers and play. A free to play game was free to play without the sub payment. It never meant, you will never pay a dime in this game, just that you don't have to rent it.
$75 in game credits - do you even know what items are in the Archeage Cash-shop? How can you throw away money with out even knowing what you are paying for?
And i always said Star Citizen is a scam, it's not even MMO.
Those of you playing....how is it on the old PC? e.g. I have a gtx580 gpu... i7 2600 3.4 ghz cpu..liquid cooled....8gb ram..windows 7 64bit client. ..How do you think it'll run? I ask this because ..tho i can run newer stuff...ESO..Wildstar...the frame rates are getting lower and lower of course. My buddy is starting to show it's age. Much like myself. lol.
So this is all hype? How about you not tell people what to spend their money on. I spent 150$ and I don't regret it one bit. I guess I could run out and by a collectors edition of some other game with a dumb ass toy in it for a 150$ but AA isn't worth it. Should be happy people are spending the money on AA so you can play for free. One way or another the game will need money so the servers can stay up. Maybe the game just isn't for you.
Play in Alpha before Beta begins, while supplies last!
11,250 Credits ($75 Value)
4-Day Patron Head Start
Title: "Trailblazer"
90-Day Patron Status

Bottom line is whether the guy is a shill or not people who spend 150 for AA will get more out of that game than guys who spent 75 and 80 bucks on SWOTOR and ESO.

Best $150 bucks I've spent in a long time as well! I recently bought into the hype of ESO and Wildstar as well and bought both of those games.
This game easily surpassed my expectations out of a sand/park game...to each their own!
