This was the saddest movie ive seen.
I really was upset/sad when the jedi were being so coldly assasinated, i think lucas really got the tragedy perfect. When i watched "A New Hope" afterwards i really had an entirely different feel to the Obi won/ luke scene when he is in the hut talking about the old republic and the clone wars. You can now feel his sadness and hate of Vader for what he did.
Episode 3 really just changed the way you look at the first 2 and last 3 movies entirely.
Not a top actor. His claim to fame is the movie "Trainspotting". NICE movie, but not because of him. It was because of the director, NICE and witty scriptwritter, and talents of all the cast combined. He's not the worse ever actor. His acting career is avarage. But he is still not good enough to hold a movie on his own. (Which Orlando Bloom recently found out in "Kingdom of Heaven". He's not yet a good enough actor/screen prescense to hold a movie on his own.) He did some stage before movies, but he was not good enough to be known for his stage work either LOL! In other words, he wasn't a top stage actor. IMHO he's an avarage to above avarage actor. He hasn't proved that he can hold a movie on his own.

lmao that is so true. You could probably say the same for the episode 3 previews making the wookies battle scene 10x bigger than what it was.
You can criticise the cast of actors all you want. Samuel l. Jackson's character wasn't fleshy enough..... yea that a load of crap. He was a hell of a lot more fleshy than than most supporting actors in most movies especially the old star wars. Also Darth Maul was amazing and even though he didn't last long his presence is more memorable than Boba fet getting his ass kicked by blind ass Han solo. Boba fet in RotJ was pathetic and Jango Fett was a blast to watch in Episode 2.
Lucas did a amazing job and people can criticise him al lthey want but guess what, there isn't any other mvie out there other than LOTR that has the drama, action and terrific story of the new star wars movies. Although they didn't show much of the wookie battle, quite honestly i would rather see Yoda kicking more ass than grunts.
There are just so many quality fight scenes between various jedi/sith in all three mvies and all of them blow any action movies fight scenes out of the water. The fight in Episode 3 with Vader vs. Obi Won was amazing. You could tell they trained hard for that fight and trained long. There was very little special effects or camera tricks used i nthat fight, it was panned out to see that these two actors have the skill with a saber to match there great acting performances.
There are so many people who hate on the 3 new SW movies but it is undeserved. You can comapre the actors, the story, and quality of the originals comapred to the new and the new will beat it out in every way. I can understand oler generations clinging to the originals and i personally still love the old movies, but episode 3 felt darker, made you feel deeper, and had vastly better fight scenes than empire strikes back PERIOD.
Lucas is the man, and always will be by creating 6 of the greatest movies in movie history. I can only hope for 3 more in the future
the point of the prequal is really just : How they found anakin, how anakin developed, how anakin turned to the dark side. and he did that last one very well. the previous 2 mean nothing ^_^.
Just saw it. Have very mixed feelings. "Uh oh" bots and yodeling wookies kinda freak me out. I'm still failing to see how the weakminded kid with poor impulse control became the menacing galactic badass I worshipped as a young teen. And what happened to Palpatine's former sence of true, menacing and intimidating evil?
Christopher Lee shows he can still rock the house with that astounding voice of his... my god, he's still got it.
The first two were not meanigless. All have an important purpose. I really appreciate Ep1 because you saw Qui Gon Jin (liam neson) who was excellent to say the least. You also appreciate Obi Won's history more as well as seeing what anakin was, which is a staunch contrast of innocence in episode 1 to episode 3 of consumed with evil.
Episode 2 as well was amazing and i really had a greater appreciation for yoda and the jedi from watching episode 2. Episode 2 showed how important jedi were and what they were actually doing in the galaxy. Not only did it show some of their history in the republic but how hard it was to be a jedi due to their small numbers. Then in the 3rd i saw how hard it was to actually be a selfless person and following the jedi was much harder than just being a tremendous warrior.
Everyone has their own taste on movies, so if people feel like the first two were trash than that's how it is. I just havent spoke to many people who feel the same way about the new movies.
and yes.... Christopher lee still has his presence on screen. I wanted more
i thought that the movie was an excellent star wars movie (meaning that that acting and script may have been suspect, but overall it was quite wonderful).
