Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way as me.
I grew up playing Final Fantasy XI, Maple Story, Lineage 2 and Ragnarok Online. I have fond memories of these games after developing connections with other players in the game. A few of which I still keep in touch with. However, as life went on and games evolved, I find that it has been impossible to make the same connections.
I used to play Battlefield 4 exclusively with 2 others (my brother and a childhood gaming friend) but the childhood friend moved back to Hong Kong. Now I don't feel motivated at all to play FPS alone. There's no one to laugh with when I crash into another plane while in a dog fight, no friend on vent to laugh at when they throw a grenade and it bounces back killing us all. It's just not fun anymore.
Thinking about it makes me kinda sad actually, it's like I grew up and the magic of gaming has disappeared =(

Never!
All those games you mentioned are still in circulation. Go back and try them again! Now and again I play Ultima Online just to shake it up a bit.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Yep.
I do play Marvel Heroes but that's just an ARPG it's not really an MMO.
Yes.
I could type all of the reasons, but then I would be a "whiny hater". So I'll just leave it at yes.
I resubbed to FFXIV yesterday and do not feel like logging on now lol
I am debating on downloading Aion or Lineage 2 but then I remember Aion copied WoW's daily grind crap; I might as well go back and play WoW.
I think for me the real killer was when Diablo 3: RoS released with the inability to trade items; effectively making it a single player game. MMOs seem to be heading in the same direction. -_-
