This game will do well 20 and 40 man raids with fast action pack fun. So many things in this game remind me of old school EQ1 ,wow with a mix of sci fi.Things are great in this game, looking forward to launch along with others that think the same as I do. They have said at one point 750 bugs to fix before launch and will have most fixed by launch ..this game rocks .Once you play and get to level 15 you will get hooked. Look forward to meeting some of you in game.

You must have never played Everquest.
Or any MMORPG before WoW.
This is -not- old school.
Help get Camelot Unchained made, a old-school MMORPG, with no hand holding!

To his credit, he's had his MMORPG.com account since 04, that's pretty damn old school.
Then he should know better.
There is only really one thing thats old school about it. Challenge. No carebear game here.
Not everyone wants to live in the past "glory days"
I want a developer who finaly isnt afraid to move forward.
its close to what vanilla WoW was but that was a long time ago, ive moved on since then. Its certainly not really like any of the games that pre-dated that.
Korean developers seem to take a lot more risks than the western mmorpg developers and its getting anoying. Everything western in the mmorpg market is feelign same old, same old.
I can only agree to "old-school" in terms of how it looks and feels like...WoW mainly:
- cartoonish graphics
- funny/easter-eggy questing
- a butload of content
- super-boring questing system of quest hubs with classic yellow markers and no voice-acting
However, the action combat system is very New Age.
And the way systems work (different raid sizes, lots of PvP options, etc.) is also a mix of polished options from many different games.
Personally I like the action combat, great change. The "old-school" graphics/funny playstyle also suits my taste. But God oh God why they had to stick with quest-hubs with yellow markers and no real voice-acting...I don't know. They should have grabbed some The Secret World devs to learn proper questing.
However, OP, you are setting yourself up to get bashed...many people here are grown ups to want to go back to their early teens when they were doing the exact same thing as they are now (playing video games), but when society didn't point a finger at them for being totally useless and lazy and not having grown up. Nothing will ever be "old school" as they will no longer ever be "cool" for playing an MMO 12 hours a day every day for years, and living off their parents and part-time jobs...
If it was WoW like I might have played for a year like it was a second job (like i did WoW back pre-BC)
Tried it, didn't like it, looked great. I hated combat. IF i wanted "action combat" why not just play an FPS? seriously, whats with the combat? A bunch of AOEs and cones , just kinda silly. If this is the future of MMORPGs , I want no part of it.
