About 7 years on Phantasy Star Universe , I think about 5 years on the PC/PS2 server ( it closed down early ) and about 7 years on the 360 server. Good times and bad times all rolled into one .

PSO 4 years , EQOA 4 months , PSU 7 years , SWTOR launch ongoing , PSO2 SEA launch ongoing , Destiny 360 launch ongoing. "SWG was not fun. Let it go buddy." quote from iiNoSkillzii 10/18/13 The original propoganda pixie dust villain :[]
I've played WoW off and on since it launched in 2004. Still go back to play it here and there, and will likely go back when Warlords of Draenor is released. lol But these are now generally 1-2 month stints. So 10 years with breaks.
But without breaks, I believe it would be Asheron's Call for 3 - 3 1/2 years or so as my first MMO.
Anarchy Online off and on for many years. Borg farming was great fun, and I even liked Shadowlands heckler farming teams, especially on my twinked NT. I did not like the lvl 200+ dungeon grind at all, though, and the roaming kill stealers were irritating, too. I think it was the dungeon grind that finally broke me, though. I never did get a toon to 220. I've been back as a froob a few times, but I'm not interested enough in it to resub and really play, and now my laptop card doesn't play nice with it at all, so that's probably the end of it.
If Funcom created AO II and left in the twinking and the huge open gameworld, the clothing stores, the clubs, and the apartments, with or without Shadowlands, I'd play it. I know it won't happen, though.
I played WoW for a solid 11 months, but it was mostly because my computer at the time had all the speed and graphical capacity of a toaster. I did have fun healing randoms, but finally the gear grind and the Battleground premades got on my last nerve and I quit.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
